My son served in the Marine Corps. He still suffers from PTSD and TBI as a result of combat in Iraq. Anger outburst, social anxiety, not to forget sleep apnea (causing loss of sleep for days on end), confusion as well as other issues. What would it take to make his life normal again? Our military should be recognized and appreciated. I cast my vote for National PTSD Awareness Month.REPORT COMMENTS

My son suffers from this and he is not being treated well by the VA and is scared to be labeled withPTSD because he was told it makes him weak by the service he so valiantly served with in the war on the front lines seeing what no human should have to try to deal with. Awareness needs to happen. You in our offices of government have no clue what you are putting our soldiers and their families through. Wake up NOW. What will it take for you to realize what is happening. It has been going on for too many years for you to play so blind with the problems of our soldiers when they return and you treat them worse as years go by with no support or help that is so needed. Take a cut in your pay and help those that served your country you are so proud of to serve and make so much money sitting in your seats in your freedom while they fight and then ashamed to wear their uniforms after they return for fear of people hating them for fighting for our beloved Country. Take another lesson on patriotism please.REPORT COMMENTS

We need more help with this for our military both past and present. I have one son that definitely deals with PTSD and 2 others that display most of the symptoms. More intensive treatment needs to be offered in a more timely manner!REPORT COMMENTS
