I have suffered from horrible, life changing negative effects such as chronic pain, neurological & mobility complications & varying limitations because of Essure, despite being able to have them removed in 2011. The struggle and negative physical impact is now permanent. Remove these terrible devices from the market for good. I was bullied bu my OBGYN to get these implanted as my only option. Mercury is one of the most potent neurotoxins known to man. Why do we continue to allow dentists to put it into the mouths of patients without at least requiring them to give informed consent? That makes no sense. If anybody else was trying to put a known poison into your mouth without your consent you'd have grounds for suing them. What's also important to note is the consistent use of "dissimilar" metals and the negative impact it can have on the body. While Galvanic Response and the interaction of dissimilar metals has been known throughout the medical and dental communities for many decades there is still an ignorant bliss. Dental labs and dentists are totally disregarding the negative effects with regards to the use of dissimilar or dislike metals and making money hand of fist at our expense. If you have ANY kind of dental work involving crowns, bridges, full restorations and have become sick since having the work done? Even if you haven't, REQUEST the Chemical Certificate. The Chemical Certificate gives you the breakdown of all the metals used in your dental work. This is important information to have in the event you should develop any kind of Allergy to the metals used. Metal allergies can be misdiagnosed or left an enigma. It took me 9 years almost to the point of suicide to finally piece the puzzle together!! Don't let my tragedy become yours! And don't let anyone buffalo you! You have every right to have a copy for your records. Be Your Own Advocate! Do Your Homework! Be An Informed Patient, Not A Victim!! Sadly, I wasn't so lucky. This is why I say to you.. RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!! DO NOT depend on the so called professionals, most fly by the seat of their pants while they try to dazzle the uninformed patient! I have suffered for 11 years now thank to J&J bladder mesh and (bard kugel mesh for hernia repair that I DID NOT agree to being put in my body!!! ) I was under so I never gave consent! Mesh has poisoned my body! Chronic pain for 11 YEARS! Surgery after surgery , open wound for 4 of the last 11 years! My children were deprived of having a mother! My 13 year old daughter had to pack 50 feet of gauze into my belly! I missed out on her cheering, my sons football and baseball games... I missed it all! Now 11 yrs later just diagnosed with autoimmune disease, suffer daily from high white count and fever!! This crap was never truly tested except on rats, rabbits and the female body! You've taken so much from me with no repocusions! Could you watch your mother live like this? I was a healthy 38 year old woman! I lost my home and years I can never have back! Now NO doctor with take this crap out of me! Oh all the Drs were all about putting it in but so few trained to take it out! Just what would 11 years of your life be worth??? Can't even get a half hearted apology much less any help for my pain and suffering! I am a human not a test rat and I demand these companies be held responsible for taking these years and what years I have left! I have five children and 11 grand children that I will never be blessed to see grow up! It's all about the corruption of money to these companies! It's time these people pay up! The law suits are a joke! I can't sue for the bladder mesh because it's not possible to remove due to the 8x10 piece of Strattice that is now my abdominal wall! Where's the lawyers for the hernia mesh or is that just ignored too??? It's time to stand up and be counted and for the FDA to stand up for us!!! If it were their mother/sister/daughter maybe it would matter! There are thousand just like me!!!! I matter! My life matters!!! I'm sick of the games and no one training these Drs and making sure the patient fully understands the torment and torture we have been thru! I'm mad as hell and it's time someone listened to those of us that have debilitating pain every single second of every single day! Do the right thing and HELP us!!! Be our voice and have a little sympathy!!!! It's the right thing to do! Btw all 4 of the meshes I have had were recalled! My dr referred me to the best of the best Duke Hospital and the refused to see me!!!!! I want my life back! Just a measly five minutes without excruciating pain would be a miracle! The FDA is totally responsible for letting these things be put inside our bodies! The crap is made with the same stuff used for carpet backing! I was in intensive care immediately after surgery then stuck in a nursing home! Out of sight out of mind! To top it all off the Drs I have tried to see say "go back to the surgeon who did it! Well she's moved to Alaska and quite frankly she don't get a second chance at taking my life!!! Do your research! I am O- blood! A Bard 3D mesh was like putting poison in my young son's body. At 18, he became bedridden and was dying in front of our eyes. When he got so sick and was in agonizing pain, we discovered only a few surgeons in the Country are skilled enough to attempt a removal and even then, there were no guarantees of the outcome. We had to travel and pay out of pocket to get help. He is one of the lucky ones, but still may live the rest of his life with pain. Polypropylene mesh is toxic and not meant to be put in the human body. Please stop letting people suffer and die needlessly. The damage mesh does cannot be undone. I suffered four years with J&J mesh! I Thank God I'm still alive. Put patient safety first. It cost 600.000.00 in medical bills for something that has never been tested. I am a widow. I live alone. Like I said I suffered. Doctors don't take or help Charity cases like myself. Now I face what could be a Chronic Diseases.Why are these device's in the market place anyway.
