Hallelujhah!!!! The house listened and we have moved to legalize!!! I too suffer from debilitating chronic major depressive disorder, PTSD, and bipolar, which for years before being diagnosed, I self-medicated with marijuana ...I have been a long-time advocate for the growth of industrial hemp, as well as the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes...I am college educated, have a Bachelors of Science in Human Services Management, have three children, and am widowed due to my husband being an alcoholic. He passed away at the age of 36 on Christmas in 2005. I have watched the effects of alcohol on the drinker, and the loved ones who surround them.. It is horrible to say the least...How do I obtain MM legally now that it has been approved for the Commonwealth? -

Marijuana has improved my life tremendously. I suffer from anorexia, depression, chronic pain, and panic disorder. This is the only medicine that has helped so much, and it's just a flower so how much harm could it do. The government officials are the ones who need to get their facts together.REPORT COMMENTS

I think using med. mar. Is better then take ten to 20 pils a day and getting addicted to pills an have to go ta rehab. Cannibis has no physical withdrawals. But alcohol an pills do, and are very harmful to your body, I know smoking isn't great for u but its not the only way you can medicate. in my opinion alcohol is way worse than cannabis, people on cannabis do not get so high that they rob and even kill because they are to stoned to stop themselves. alcohol on the other hand has a track record of serious crimes being committed and has destroyed many lives and families. this is not something that should just be reviewed it should be passed. cannabis delivers where many prescription drugs fail. medically ive never heard of anyone wanting to commit suicide because they've fallen into a deep depression because of smoking marijuana. I have heard of people being suicidal and even committing suicide due to prescription drug use prescribed by a doctor. again this is my opinion. Cannabis should have been legalized when alcohol was back in the prohibition era.REPORT COMMENTS

There are to many medicinal qualities provided by this plants. Prescription drug are the number one killer in America. Most think because a dr prescribes something it it safe. WRONG. Marijuana has caused 0 overdoses as opposed to the thousands killed by prescription medicines. Our government liked to us for so long . No wonder kids believe heroin is as safe to use as marijuana. Both are classified as being equally dangerous which is completely bogus ********. O overdose deaths from marijuana thousands have died from heroin. Partly because marijuana and heroin are both scheduled as class one drugs with no medicinal value. The numerous dr have spoken. The results are clear and overwhelmingly positive especially for those children with epileptic seizures. Wake up America. One of the safest most effective medicines ever has been put on earth by god for us to use to treat of medical problems and our government demonizes this medicine, all because of some racist ******** propaganda started by the racist FBI director Harry j aSlinger. In the 1930's along with the creation of a synthetic material company known as DuPont . Which supported our ridiculous governments policy to replace all hemp materials to be replaced by plastic like ropes made by DuPont. This plant has to many benefits to be denied . I do not smoke marijuana but my wife does. My wife was diagnosed with bipolar. After countless prescriptions and therapy sessions nothing has helped her condition. After reading about the affects marijuana has on bipolar I suggested she should use. Marijuana has done more for her then the costly pills and therapy ever could. I have been on pain meds since 1999, that's 15yrs ~ since I had back surgery, I also have neuropathy in both legs, a broken bone in my neck that keeps my arms and hands numb, and I'm also taking nerve meds. The Dr's are required to see that I do have a liver function test done every 6mo's to see if my liver is ok from all the meds i'm taking....18 different medications to be exact, AND I'M SICK OF IT!!! just the thought of swallowing a pill anymore literally makes me gag!! Before my accident in'99 i was a daily pot smoker & never had a pain in my body!! PLEASE PASS THIS LAW SO I CAN "STOP" INGESTING THESE POISONS!!! I have 4 Grandchildren I would love to see grow-up, I'm in such pain all the time now I can barely keep them with me at times, I KNOW the effects Marijuana has on me & "they are good" PlEASE DO THE HUMANE THING, get us folks off of the meds and out of the beds so we can start enjoying what life we have left. I have been smoking marijuana for about 7 months and it has had such a positive effect on my life. I smoke bout 3 to 4 times a day. And I have been diagnosed with neck problems, back problems ( my back dr. Said I have the back of a 65 yr. old and I just turned 35. I'm in a lot of pain. Also I was on medication for bipolar disorder, mood disorder,PTSD, ADHD, and it has been 6 months since I've taken all the medication I was prescribed. And I don't have to take pain medication in a regular basis I may take a pain pill once a week. If that. I was addicted to pills and I don't ever want to be dependent on that again. Everyone around me says they rather me smoke pot and they don't want me to quit. I've been more stable in my life the past 6months than I have ever been. I don't do it to get high I do it because it works.REPORT COMMENTS
