I'm a 57 year old combat veteran with muscular dystrophy, a medical condition that slowly paralyzes your muscles. This condition causes painful spasms. Smoking cannabis relieves pain of that symptom and many others. I would proudly be a guinea pig for any research done for cannabis.REPORT COMMENTS

I agree that this option of a medical usage, and their is less side effects than pills. more of a population control. Most pills have side effects that can make minor disorders end up being bigger that want they where before taking their medication. Marijuana is more organic, less dangerous ( unless pesticides are added ), & and more money for a cleaner state. We have a good amount of land to grow it as well. I don't know why it is illegal in the first place. The lord gave us all herbs to our disposal.REPORT COMMENTS

We want change. These outdated marijuana laws are putting nonviolent offenders in jail and placing a permanent mark on their records, making them unemployable. It is not right to keep a person and their children from living comfortably in this country just for smoking a joint and getting caught. Whitney Westerfield just threw out the bill on legalization and said it will get no hearing yet again. Maybe we can get rid of this roadblock to democracy with this petition.REPORT COMMENTS

As a veteran I suffer from severe anxiety and chronic pain. I would love to see medical marijuana legalized in this state. I have been on prescription pain medication and anxiety medication everyday for over a year now. I do not want to be one of those people that get addicted to these meds because there is a law that prohibits me from being able to get my medication from a natural non addicting plant.REPORT COMMENTS

Might help the health care system by gettimg rid of a lot of these uneeded man made medicines. Many different strains can help with different problems. And eatining raw leaves has its own benifits.
