Agreed, ban high-kill automatic weapons, over-sized clips, and armor-piercing munition that have no purpose other than to kill and disable great numbers of people quickly. For the remaining weapons, register each weapon on an annual basis and require periodic operator licensing similar to automobile ownership and operation. Violations result in forfeiture and denial of right due to lack of basic responsibility.REPORT COMMENTS

Assault weapons should be banned. Weapons for sports target practicing and hunting should be locked up in a club. The only weapon that should be allowed is the shotgun and only when you live in places that are slightly populated and wild animals like bears and mountain lions pose a risk.REPORT COMMENTS

Those of us who participated in Monday's protest at NRA HQ were threatened both individually and as a group with violence of the most extreme kinds for our opposition to these weapons of war being freely available in the marketplace. Anyone who claims a constitutional right to any form of weaponry need only read the Preamble as it states: "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." The second amendment to the Bill of rights: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." does not mean that anyone has the right to violate other individuals' rights previously granted.REPORT COMMENTS
