A water pipeline is a much better idea that the Keystone Pipeline which would only be a disaster for our environment - just so that corporations can make even more obscene profits. I am very tired of CORPORATE PROFITS running this country (including our corrupt government. It is time for PEOPLE and the ENVIRONMENT to come first!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I grew up in Wichita, Ks and have envisioned such a pipeline. Fresh water is lighter than salt water. Therefore, fresh water "floats" on top of salt water. Imagine if we moved desalinated water from the Gulf or the Atlantic Westward to affected areas in need of the water or instead of discharging water from Florida lakes and canals to the ocean, why not move it through a pipeline to areas where it is really needed.REPORT COMMENTS

When the cost to repair flooded areas and the loss of crops in drought areas are added up, there has to be sufficient money to invest in an interstate pipeline. Just this summer, Colorado suffered from massive floods while Texas and New Mexico experienced significant droughts.REPORT COMMENTS

we can pipie in water to counties and cities. then charge a fee for usage like we do know for toilets, sprinklers, washing machines, etc.. Material will be cheaper than we think. add on elctric pumps to pumup out faster. If we leave it to legislation we are at another gridlock. EPA just sighned on a fight against Climate controtrol. Lets use the power of the top officials to make the decisions not a congress and senate that will not budge even for life or death of our citizens, foood, livestock, or farmers. Were are the intelligent advocates out there lets move or time will pass use by, and America will just become another third world countrry poor. Why should I send a letter to Senator Cruz, or any Republcian that is against spending money to feed a baby.REPORT COMMENTS

This would not only help those areas experiencing water shortages and drought, but would also provide relief to those areas experiencing flood conditions, not to mention the additional jobs provided. This could be a win-win-win type effort!REPORT COMMENTS

what cost? billions are spent on war and public eavesdropping every day. the hydraulic energy created by the moving water could facilitate the power needed for pumping. use should be monitored so not to totally disrupt the natural ecology of diverse areas. but when there is emergency... hey.. get on it.REPORT COMMENTS

This must be the most important issue for any election from now on. We have alternatives for energy but not for water. It must be where it is needed on an immediate basis. Any official who is not addressing this issue now is not worthy of office.REPORT COMMENTS
