This drug has caused so many long term affects to my body and daily living. Trying to avoid surgery but at this point in my life it's impossible to live a daily productive life without it so most likely having surgery on hips and back. No one should have to live like this because of a drug that was supposed to help us. Lupron needs to be held accountable. -

I took the Lupron Depo Injections for two years. Every three months I would get a new injection. I've been diagnosed just recently with Myositis, which my Neurologist feels is an adverse reaction to the long term use of Lupron. He is not sure when I will ever recover from my crippling muscle pain. There needs to be a law that states to Physicians when the are to stop administering this drug to their patients.REPORT COMMENTS

I was told by my Gyno Dr. That this medicine would help me to not have complications of a hysterectomy. I was given a 3 month shot 2 weeks ago and have been having hot flashes (which I was told about). Also severe electric shooting headaches, joint pain, brain fog. I was scared to take the medicine because I already take celexa for anxiety and there is a drug interaction with the lupron for heart issues. My doctor convinced me that it shouldn't be a problem for me cause I don't have heart issues. He also said if I didn't take it I could have worse problems during a hysterectomy. This drug needs to have further studies done. .REPORT COMMENTS

Taken for treatment of endometriosis. Since second monthly injection (stopping as of next appt for 3rd) leg pain, heart palpitations, blood sugar issues (I am not Diabetic, but am Hypoglycemic), depression, migraines, stabbing pains in lower back, pelvic pain. I also had flu-like symptoms (achy joints/muscles) since first month which I thought I was getting the flu; evidently not as those symptoms still persist and I do not have the flu.REPORT COMMENTS

I was given Lupron for 12 straight months 3 years ago as recommended by the Dr I trusted. Along with the horrible symptoms while taking the injections (none I was told about & no paperwork warnings were given because it's an in office shot) I now have low thyroid function, high BP, constant hot flashes, severe hip & back pain, & bone loss among other things... This dose NOT treat Endomitriosis & it needs to stop! Women shouldn't be given this anymore! By not stopping this you are harming more & more women in desperation looking for relief from the agonizing pain of Endomitriosis & it left me even worse than before.REPORT COMMENTS

My doctor lied about the side effects. Lupron did not help me. It aged me and destroyed my body. The day before I had my injection I was kayaking. I helped my daughter lift our 17 foot, 85 LB kayak onto the roof of our van with no problem. A few days later I was vomiting, then losing my hair, then muscles spasms, joint pain, bone pain, etc... Almost a year later, the fibroid tumors & ovarian cysts are just as large if not larger. The pain is worse. And now I feel pain everywhere, but I look healthy so people can't understand why I don't do everything I did a year ago. The people profiting from this poison should have to take it themselves, but I would not even wish this on them. Please take it off the market before it kills or destroys any more lives.REPORT COMMENTS

This drug is Killing us! Please help. No one told us the full extent of side effects. I am in unbearable, debilitating pain, my bones break very easily, my vision has gone haywire, I get horrible headaches and have noticed personality changes.
