Lupron is a DRUGS from Hell that should not be giving to woman. I have had five surgey from taking Lupron, I have bluging disc, l3,l4,l5 need to have surgey on my back . The FDA should review Lupron again. This time we demand the studies be done, on the short and long term side effects of Lupron, by someone other than the manufacturer. This drug has ruined my life up to this point. I was not fully informed of what all my body was going to go through. Hot flashes, night sweats, were told to me and the fact that it would be "bad", but that was it. No one told me that my bones would hurt, that I would be so depressed that I had suicidal thoughts, which is totally not me. After I realized I wasn't me in this body, I demanded to be taken off. I couldn't do it anymore and was an absolute basket case and didn't even know who I was. I couldn't think straight, cry at the drop of a hat, severely depressed, fly off the handle, no sex drive...the list goes on and on. I've been off since November of 2008. Some things got better, hence the hotflashes and night sweats, but the depression is WAY still there as well as aches and pains and feeling like an 36 year old in a 80 year old body. Please do something about this to help educate women before they do this. My last year of my life has been an absolute blurr. My marriage is suffering and I feel like my life has spiraled out of control.REPORT COMMENTS

In 2000/2001, I was told this drug was the only option for shrinking uterine fibroids. I have since counseled others to never take Lupron, no matter what. It is not worth it. The long-term effects are devastating, but it will be almost impossible to prove them as being due to the administration of Lupron -- have no doubt that Takeda will take advantage of this and that our legislators would prefer to consign affected women to the trash heap rather than assign any blame to Takeda, the FDA, and physicians. All of these have had a role in forcing women to take Lupron for purposes that were never investigated or approved during clinical trials. All of these have a role in failing to follow up on or report the long-term effects of repeated administration of huge doses of one of the most powerful human hormones.REPORT COMMENTS
