My wife has had hot flashes, night sweats, hyperhydrosis, mood swings, memory loss, trouble concentrating, and above all a massive and continuous headache that has permanently affected our lives for the past seven years. All the OBGYN doctors we have seen say that Lupron could not be the cause, but we have searched high and low and made every lifestyle change possible to see if it was something else. It has to be the Lupron!!!! Why is it that in this great country we are allowing this to happen??? Won't someone please help???REPORT COMMENTS

I was given this drug while under anesthesia and the only reason I can come up with for getting it is for the money because I had nothing that a reasonable doctor would have prescribed it for. There are thousands of people that have suffered the devastating effects of this drug with no where to turn. We face a powerful, ruthless and criminal drug company. I wrote to congress and to the FDA over five years ago yet nothing has ever been done to stop this poison. So far, I've had it pretty easy compared to others. I had three shots to ease endometriosis pain, and the pain was relieved, but it changed me. I became mean, full of crushing chest pain, it hurt to breathe, every breath hurt from my nose to my lungs, my eyes hurt, and I felt like I was going crazy. It was like I was being dried up, one body part at a time. I don't know how long it will take to wear off, or if I'll ever get back to normal fully. This is NOT RIGHT for a pain reliever, or even for a cure for endo.REPORT COMMENTS

This drug is highly toxic and was originally approved in 1985 for use in men with prostate cancer and has been proven ineffective for its original indication. See June 2008 JAMA study. See Associated Press Article dated Aug 26, 09, entitled "Prostate Cancer Drugs Risky." This drug has thousands of MedWatch reports over 6,000 in 1999 alone. Further, it does not work for Endometriosis either. It is merely a pain reliever at best, but literally has destroyed the lives of thousands of women with the horrible adverse events. It does nothing else. The questions for FDA is it effective? Hardly, Advil does as much for the pain. Is it Safe? Absolutely not. Do the risks outweigh the benefits. No. If you knew that you could only use it for 12 months in a lifetime and that it caused all of the noted adverse events and the benefit was going to be a little bit of pain relief for only about one year of your life, would you take that risk. Oh course not. FDA do your Job and pull this unsafe and ineffective drug from the market NOW. FYI the drug costs $600 per shot times by six shots that $3,600. If you want to save health care dollars pull this drug or give it a huge BLACK BOX WARNING immediately.REPORT COMMENTS

I was diagnosed with endo and under went surgery in Feb. of 09 immediatly after started the Lupron shots. It has been close to six months since my last injection and I am experiencing severe side effects. I have horrible joint and bone pain everyday.. I am only 19 and I feel like an 90 year old. Depression, chronic dry eyes, and personality change have also affected me. The doctor who administered the shot refuses to see me now and wont even discuss the possibility that these sideffects are from the lupron. I don't know what else to do.REPORT COMMENTS

I struggle every day to live normally, it's not easy but I try to beat the side effects every day. Lupron has changed my life in many ways, the intense pain I experienced at first injection of Lupron over 10 year ago is still with me. I am fortunate to have some family support & understanding but feel terribly for folks that have no one to take care of them while suffering awful side effects of Lupron. I hope there are some compassionate people in Congress & Medical Professionals to finally & thoroughly investigate Lupron's toxic & long lasting effects on men & women's health. I have had constant pain in the bones in my feet for 8 years with no relief since taking Lupron. It is difficult to walk, run , work. I have been to multiple Drs to no avail they cant find anything wrong. I still suffer from constant muscles aches and pains and have been tested for all causitive conditions. This only started after I started the lupron injections for endometriosis in 2001. I am also a nurse and will never take any "new" drugs since they are not properly tested, nor will I take any vaccines of which I have no idea what is in them. The government does not keep us safe only taking the big payoffs from the big pharmaceutical companies. I was never told by my doctor about the harmful side effects and didn't own a computer at the time to look up the info on it. I was in severe pain for months and spen a ton of money on physical therapy and medication to be able to walk again becasuse the medication caused severe muscle and bone aches and pain. I was not able to walk up steps with out crying in agony. I was not able to sleep next to my husband for months becasue the pain was too much to walk up the stairs. I slept on my floor in the living room for months and kept getting the run around from my doctor as to what was causing this when after I had my surgery to remove a cyst and endometriosis I was fine. Then I was given the shot in tow visits and that is when I experienced the pain. I was not able to sit up and be a mom to my son who was on in kindergarten at the time. this shold have never been on the market for women.REPORT COMMENTS
