This drug has caused many side effects that will not leave my system. I had my last 3 month injection in August of 2008 and all of the side effects are still there. I have yet to have a cycle on my own without the help of birth control pills. My doctor lied to me when she said this was the best chance for my husband and I to have another baby! I feel as if I have totally lost my mind!!! i could not figure out why I was so depressed and the insomnia is unbearable. I have had to stop my classes at University because I cannot concentrate. I was given this shot in hopes that I could save myself from haveing a hystarectomy. But little did I know the horrible effects it would have on me and my family. I trusted my doctor that this was aperfectly safe drug and then all my problems began a pulmonary embolism in march 2009 3 months after my last shot weight gain,mood swings bone pain headaches memory loss unable to work cause of the fatigue I could go on and on. I wish and pray that something can be done to help compensate us for all that we have went thru and all that I continue to go thru day to day now I have to go once a week for blood work because of the clots and my blood has never been right since this please please lets get something done about thisREPORT COMMENTS

My disabled daughter who is only 7 years old was prescribed Lupron injections without the prescibing doctor being completely honest with me about the "effects" of using this drug. After her dosage of Lupron Depot was increased she suffered tremendously in severe pain. Imagine a child unable to communicate her pain. It was terrible. I have Stage IV Prostate Cancer. 3 Month Lupron-Depot has been part of my therapy since 2008. I began with 1 month shots when I was first diagnosed in 2007. I am dependant upon Lupron to act as it was first marketed to help reduce the ravages of my cancer. Lupron deprives the cancer of the hormone testosterone that it thrives on. In so doing, it has made me a eunuch for as long as I receive the injections. That is the price I pay to fight this cancer. Until a cure is found for prostate cancer, or God heals me, I must remain on Lupron and remain a eunuch because of the drug. It adds insult to injury to see the very same drug put to uses for which it was not intended, and causing harm to those women and children to whom it is administered.REPORT COMMENTS

I have been having seizures since taking Lupron in 1997. It is now 9/2009 and I have left brain pain, memory ptoblems and other medical issues. I was perfectly healthy befor this awful drug invaded my body. I was told by my OBGYN that Luprom would halt Endometriosis. WRONG!REPORT COMMENTS

I have had 2 once-monthly injections of 7.5 mgs of Lupron and since then my life has never been the same. I am almost two months out from the second one. I suffer from fatigue so immense that there are days on which I can barely feed myself and go hungry because I don't have the energy to cook. I have had to call in sick so many times that I am in danger of losing my job, and since I took it to help prevent breast cancer recurrence, I cannot take the "add-back" estrogen therapy. I feel like a prisoner. I am very scared, and in the past few weeks the side effects have gotten worse, not better. Now, in a desperate attempt to get my life back, I am taking DHEA, a supplement that can encourage estrogen and is therefore not recommended for cancer patients. I chose to live in the present, but I hate Lupron for forcing me to make such a cruel choice. The side effects insert is woefully insufficient and never began to prepare me for this.REPORT COMMENTS

I had 3 injections of Lupron in 2001, it nearly killed me. My Doctor ignored my concerns regarding my heart palputations and instant dangerously High Blood Pressure. I ended up in an emergency room, put on beta blocker until the Lupron left my body. My short term memory has been destroyed. Every day I live my life in misery working my hardest to just "function" with day to day tasks and conversations. It is detrimental that this gets investigated.REPORT COMMENTS

I was an active, vibrant woman before taking this shot...it only made my pain from endometrosis worse. The side effects from this drug can be life-threatening from an emotional standpoint. PLEASE investigate this drug and take it off the market! I don't think most doctors who prescribe it know the potential for long-term damage it can cause. I too have had complications from lupron. I had severe pelvic pain and was sent to ob/gyn who wanted to try lupron shots to see if it eliminates some of the pain. They couldn't give me any information on the drug the doctor made is sound good. soon after the first shot the pain just started spreading from joint to joint the pain was unbearable.needless to say I didn't go for the second shot but the pain never went away now I have sleep apnea, fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis,which is what was causing the pain in the first place but It wasn't caught before I took the lupron shot I have been treated like some druggy because of all the er visits and begging for medicine to make the pain go away just for a little bit. I've never taken drugs in my life but when you go in begging for them just to get the pain to go away for 5 minutes they look at you like I'm just some druggy or something even the hospital stopped giving me a shot while I lay on the table crying so hard and I could barely walk.
