My doctor diagnosed me with stage 4 endometriosis during my first laparoscopy and recommended two 3-month 11.25 mg shots. I was a bit hesitant in taking Lupron but he advised that he administered the shot to numerous people with no complaints. At the time, my pain was very intense, I could barely walk or get out of bed and with his recommendation that this would be the best remedy – I went for it. The symptoms I mainly felt with the first shot were hot flashes and a bit run down but my endo pain subsided. The second shot is where I realized taking this drug was the biggest mistake and my endo pain between shots came back full force. I knew there was no cure for endo but taking Lupron was not truly helping me because in the long run my pain would come back again. During the second shot, the other side effects started occurring which included: extreme fatigue, headaches, no strength, insomnia, constipation, thigh pain, joint/muscle pain, hot flashes, memory loss, depression, weight gain, and etc. I have always been a very strong woman but taking this drug had made me so weak I couldn’t even open a bottle of water or open my car door. Simple every day tasks became tremendously difficult and something as simple as walking a few steps or going up a flight of stairs wore me out. I wish I could go back in time because it completely destroyed my life and continues to create health issues. I would never recommend this treatment to anyone and I believe it is very unfair to push this on patients during a time of duress.

I just had my 4th injection of Lupron yesterday & am regretting it majorly. I have stage 4 endometriosis, and had a full hysterectomy last August. My Dr left my ovaries for the hormones, but, unfortunately, I was one of the few that it has grown back inside. He said wanted to try me on Oralissa, but my insurance wouldn't cover it, so we had to go with Lupron. After the first injection, about 2 weeks in, I was actually feeling some pain relief from the endo pain, but shortly after the 3rd injection, everything else became difficult. I have hot flashes, memory issues, my vision is blurry, severe heartburn & indigestion, terrible headaches, sinus & throat issues, water retention (bloating), sever angina, irregular heartbeat, anxiety, anger, depression & extremely emotional (which isn't good because I already see a psychiatrist for my mental health), and last but not least, the worst of all of them: the horrible joint & bone pain. I have to sleep with a pillow between my legs just to able to get out of bed in the mornings without my hip hurting and/or locking up. This past injection was my last. I visit my Dr on the 23rd of this month & hopefully he'll schedule surgery to remove my ovaries since the early menopause state side affect of Lupron did help my endo pain somewhat. It's all of the other side affects that I don't think were a very fair trade-off. I advise women to seriously weigh your options before going this route. Sure, everyone's different, but trust me, you don't want to find out the hard way that Lupron isn't for you. And to pharmacies, government & Drs: PLEASE find a new pain medication to help treat endometriosis without giving us this stuff. Or at least give opiates to the people who really need them. God knows we do.

I was on Lupron quarterly Injections for 2 years. I was told that Lupron would put me into temporary menopause. I was diagnosed with Complex Hyperplasia without Atapia, precancerous cells and had some polyps. The Lupron Injections were supposed to stop the heavy bleed out cycles and then I’d be prepared for a hysterectomy. The shots made me sick. I wanted to stop but I was told the side effects were temporary and they would go away once I stopped. When the side effects became severe, I never went back for my next quarterly. I waited 3 -6 months and my side effects heightened rather than diminish. It’s been over a year and everyday I’m feeling new post Lupron side effects on top of the side effects I already had. This drug is poison. There are so many people with the same symptoms and our medical teams offer no support. I have no energy, my joints, bones and muscles hurt. I’m tired all the time. I feel like I aged 20 years and I have many other health issues. This drug took away my livelihood. This should not be injected or used.

My daughter who is now 18 was diagnosed with precocious puberty at the age of 2. She most likely was born with it, however she was not diagnosed until the age of 2. She had Lupron injections every 28 days until she was about 9 years old, at that time she switched from Lupron injections to the Suprellin LA implant until age 11. The last several months we have been in and out of doctors offices. My daughter has joint pain, swelling in her hand and wrist, lack of strength, lack of grip in her hands, numbness and tingling, she is moody, and sleeps a lot. None of the doctors we have been to can figure out what is going on. Some doctors have suggested that she may have fibromyalgia. Are next appointment is with a neurologist. However the more I read, the more I think Lupron is the problem.

My doctor gave me a 3 month 11.25 mg shot for endo & U fibroids. She told me she gave the shot to many people and never had issues. Completely destroyed my life for the next year and continues to create health issues for me to this day. Severe pain in bones, memory loss, multiple heath issues, inflammation, triggered autoimmune issues. I went back to her about the side effects and she did nothing to help me. She never told me Lupron is a cancer chemotherapy drug.

Received 6 months Lupron post laparoscopy for Endo in 1995 and here I am 24 years later still suffering. Bone loss in jaw, degenerative disc disease, all over pain in joints, super sensitive nerves, have been on medication for copd, medication for depression, it doesn't end. Get this poison eliminated please. My Dr gave me no warning. He told me I would be cured of Endo, I am not...That I would get typical side effects, like I was going through menopause. Not true....

This poison has ruined my life. I'm only 30 but feel much, much older. As I'm typing this I'm in horrible pain. I took Lupron in 2014 after my first endometriosis surgery to be diagnosed. I did 6 shots for 6 months. It did not help with my endo pain at all and I remember going to my doctor asking for pain meds as I was in to much pain. I was also on depo. Now 5 years later I'm suffering and getting worse. I worse is the joint pain. Along with all over joint pain I have horrible back pain, headaches, fatigue, hair loss, worse vision, memory troubles, always cold, horrible sleep, gallbladder removed and gained 40 lbs in those 6 months. I can't just lay around in pain all day and can't take a lot of pain meds as I'm a mother of 4 and have to take care of them. I wish I would have lived through the endo pain and never put this poison into my body. This needs to be banned and now.

My daughter was prescribed this drug to "diagnosis" her thoracic endometriosis. Dr said it was the only way to know for sure it was endo since nothing was showing up on imagery. She was given two 3 month doses over a nine month period (3 month break in between doses). Her immediate side effects were mood swings, hot flashes, temporary leg paralysis (near end of 2nd dose), vision problems (blurry vision that comes and goes), rapid weight gain, brain fog, psoriasis, and migraines. Thankfully the majority of the side effects have subsided. But she is left with the migraines, vision problems, psoriasis, and the extra weight gain (similar to crushing's syndrome). To be fair, we were told about the hot flashes, possible mood swings, and the dangers of osteoporosis if given for longer than a year. NO way would I have agreed to the injections if I would have known about these other possible life long side effects. I did do some research, but apparently not enough and I trusted my daughter's Dr apparently too much.

Lupron depot has ruin my life. It was to have helped to feel better but instead it has cause me nothing but hell. I had a very sharp and good memory could carry a conversation until the end. I was able to spell as I once did before I had taken the lupron injections. After I started taking it my health has kept declining since. I have developed a autoimmune disease, memory loss, loss of balance, unable to concentrate on the littles thing's. While engaged in a conversation with friends or family my mind draws a totally blank and I have no clue as to what we was discussing. I have bruises on my body everywhere. Anxiety, hot flashes as if I'm burning from the inside out, I also get very cold like I've been stuffed in a deep freeze and left for days. I tested positive for blood clotting at the emergency room. Was dc from the drug but still have issues and they seem to continue to decline each and every day.. So depressing

I had 4 injections of Lupron in 2015. Immediate side effects were - severe joint swelling and pain in my legs , arms, hands, heart palpitations, muscle weekness to the point , when my legs just would suddenly gove up causing me to fall. General fatigue, weight gain, hot flashes , insomnia, depression and anxiety. 4 years later i could not walk, pain did not leave for a day. I am going through hell. What makes the matters worst is that without an official admission of the harm that lupron causes doctors are free to deny or disregard my symptoms. This is my life that has been destroyed, my agonizing pain that been denied. I pray that God will make everyone responsible of prescribing or could be instrumental to remove this drug but chose not to take action would spent the eternity FEELING what i am feeling . STOP this drug. It hurts real people. Stop it.

I took lupron for endometriosis in 2011. I immediately has side effects that continue to harm me day to day. The memory fog and anxiety are the worst next to the muscle joint pain that I thought was from my job amd it has been ruled out. Thinking I might have fibromyalgia as I meet a lot of the symptoms. I cant even wear tight or fitting clothes as they cause me all over pain.

I have osteosrthritis and have broken several bones/teeth(had to take a year of Forteo), thyroid problems(calcium & vitamin D), lowered immune system problems, basal cell carcinona, melanoma diagnosis with several pre- melanoma close calls following. I have had 6 moh’s surgeries and too many skin biopsies to count. I am sick all of the time with colds/flu and am a frequent visitor to the Endocrinologist, Immunologist and Dermatologist. Lupron has ruined my life both personally and financially.

I was told Lupron would shut down my ovaries to relieve my pain. It shut down my major organs to live after the second injection. I almost had a stroke. If my dad wasn’t a Dr.,and prescribed me high blood pressure medicine, I probably wouldn’t be here. The worst pain I have ever experienced was from Lupron. My knees would give out on me, especially my right one. My hair was falling out, the cramps became worse . I didn’t stop vomiting from this drug for three months straight. I had to be on 5 weeks of iv therapy due to dehydration from my body rejecting this poison. I do not wish the pain I had on this drug upon anyone. There was a point this drug clouded my brain so bad I couldn’t even remember day to day activities. It was a nightmare being on Lupron.

I was put on lupron to induce menopause in January of 2018 and received my last shot April 30th, 2018. since March I have had memory trouble, severe joint pain, numb hands to the elbows, stiff knees with severe pain when bending, anxiety attacks, and shoulder dislocation of both shoulders. It is now November and while I can now feel most of my fingers and bend the knees with slightly less pain all the other symptoms are still raging. Lupron took one debilitating problem away and replaced it with another. I truly feel Lupron was not necessary, the doctor had surgically confirmed endometriosis during a hysterectomy, and making me wait a year to go through this drug process he insisted was necessary to get the oopherectomy has taken a year away, with no telling when my symptoms will subside. This is a nasty, horrible drug!

I took Lupron quarterly shots in 2016 and 2017 . I had 6 quarterly shots. During my time on it, I had bone, joint and muscle pain. I had mind fog and could not focus. My memory could not retain information. I feel sick and depressed. My lab results were out of control. My glucose numbers were reaching 350. My vision worsened. My insides felt hot. My doctors told me this will go away once I stop the shots. I stopped and waited for it to detox out of my system. My last shot was November 2017. I still have the symptoms and I have more. Researching this drug I found that it is chemo and it damages your healthy cells. I found that thousands of people who took this are experiencing a regression in health. It seems to be deteriorating their mental and physical health. I am not the same. I’m still hoping that I will get myself back. This drug is toxic and poison.

At the age of 28 (2 year's ago) I was diagnosed with endometriosis and shortly after agreed to lupron injections. I only got the first shot, was thrown into an artificial menopause and felt as though I was slowly being poisoned. A whole******storm of nasty side effects came with it. Now fast forward to now, my left side (side I got the shot in) has sever nervous system damage, my speech is delayed, my motor skills are off, I'm extremely forgetful (thing's I've known for year's) dizziness every day, even my teeth are now going down the drain. The lower back pain is horrible, and my joints hurt all the time now. I'm only 30 year's old, I didn't know it was a chemo drug......

Was found to have Endometriosis around age 19. Suffered with severe menstraul pain along with heavy bleeding. Caused lots of health issues. Had several diagnostic laparoscopic procedures. Nothing helped the pain that took over my life. I can tolorate pain to a point. Then my obgyn explained how Lupron Depot injections for 6 months were the next step. I was told only other choice would be a total Hystorectomy. I was young and wanted to option of having a third child. So I took those shots once a month every 28 days. Side effects yeah lots and the cost high. If I only knew before taking them, well I wouldn't of. About 4 years later had emergency hysterectomy. Lupron Depot had caused extreme headaches, numbness all over, blurred vision, so many health issues never had until after I started injections. Even my teeth were affected. I am 44 now live in pain daily. I am now undergoing diagnostic tests for a brain tumor. Please do something so others don't use Lupron Depot without understanding all the risks involved.

I am a 51 years old and have 3 fibroids (2 the size ping pong balls and 1 the size of an orange). I was experiencing menorrhagia related to these fibroids. February 9, 2018 I told the obgyn physician I would like a depo provera shot to stop the bleeding until my partial hysterectomy surgery in a few months. I was told I should try Lupron to also help shrink the fibroids. The first month, I had no side effects. Four days after my second shot, I began to have arthralgia, myalgia, neuralgia. Terrible numbness, burning painful fingers, hands and arms. I feel like I have severe arthritis of the hands. I also feel like electrical shocks shooting down my legs at times, deep muscle and bone pain. I also have hot flashes and chills. The list goes on and on. This is only after two shots of this drug. Pain medicine is ineffective for this pain. Sometimes it feels as though the symptoms are waning only to return with a vengeance. I've already seen a neurologist about this thinking I was coming down with an autoimmune disease only to find out Lupron is the culprit! I have fibromyalgia but this pain far exceeds that pain. Prior to the Lupron injections, if my pain from fibromyalgia was a ten, it is now a 100. I'm afraid of the long term side effects. I would discourage anyone from trying this "medication". It's dangerous and should be taken off of the market...NOW!

I am a 50 years old female diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis 2 years ago but have had symptoms for at least 20 years. I was taking methotrexate and Cymbalta, as well as infusions of Remicade, nothing worked for me. All my pain was from my waist down and certainly not something I can stand. The only treatment that has been successful has been the taking of RA herbal remedy i purchased from Best Health herbal centre. I now wake up every morning without pain. I have been pain-free period for more than 4 months. I have regular blood tests and do not experience any of the side effects from taking the herbal remedy. Thank God this works for me. I feel great!.

My daughter just had her Histrelin implant taken out. It’s the same as the shots, just in an implant given out slowly. She had a new implant put in every year or so at UVA. During this time she has been suicidal, cut herself, mood swings from hell, over eating, intense bone pain, lethargy, and noted blurry vision. She just had the implant taken out. Now she is having bone pain in her chest. She is on depression medication and anxiety medication and she is going to end up being a drug addict if she leaves the house one day with this pain. I want more info not a bunch of bs. I am sick of reading peer reviewed documents. I want it straight. I develop websites for a living. I will make one for us. Email me theunbrandedinc@ gmail. com

I was prescribed 6 months of Lupron shots for endometriosis in 1998. I was told that it was the ONLY way to treat endometriosis and sadly, I trusted my doctor. Due to the extreme side effects, I was only able to take 4 shots. I was lied to from the beginning. Not only did the side affects NEVER go away (I'm 53 now), but it made my endometriosis explode inside my body. Due to Lupron, I have a tumor on my pituitary gland, damage to both my adrenal and thyroid systems, Diabetes as well as other autoimmune diseases. The pain and exhaustion that I have had EVERY day since the first Lupron shots is unrelenting. This drug is horrible and inhumane. Please take it off the market so more people don't have to suffer like I have for the rest of my life.

I’m 27. I feel like I’m 87. I received Lupron shots, for 2.5 years, 15cc’s every 21 days after being diagnosed with Precocious puberty. After being off the Lupron for about a year, I developed an ovarian cyst the size of a grapefruit. I had surgery on that and is been down hill ever since. I feel crazy, absolutely horrible, live in physical pain, and depression. I just had an MRI that ruled out a tumor on my pituitary gland. That’s when I came looking for answers and found you. After reading all the testimonies, I guess I should be thankful to simply be alive. need advice now

I was given a 3 month injection of Lupin in August of 2017. In November I developed terrible joint and bone pain, DDD in back, vision problems, acne, loss of soft tissue, tooth and jaw pain, and many other horrible symptoms. This drug has ruined my life and the life of my family. The nanotechnology (microspheres) which are used in Lupron can cause toxicity and permanent changes to cells in the brain. This drug is VERY dangerous! Please take it off the market immediately!
