As a step mother who has seen this first hand with between my husband and his 2 daughters, I will gladly sign this petition. Unfortunately, there is not much being done about parent alienation and these targeted parents and the children are the ones who suffer. The children being alienated are innocent victims in the matter and deserved to be loved by both parents. Alienat?n is a CRIME and it needs to be PUNISHED by LAW. it's Child Abuse, it's sick, it leaves life long scarfs on the children. Since there are way too many divorces there are too many cases of Alienation by the sick parents. Unfortunately mostly by Revengfull mothers taking away their children from the father for their own sick satisfactions. My ex has band has alienated me from my kids talking badly about me, telling them in not their mother, telling them they will never see me again. It destroys families generationally. 1st 2nd 3rd 4th generations. I haven't experienced to this magnitude. I stand for all that have and still suffer due to the PAS/Hostile Aggressive Parenting. My male friend hasn't seen his son's for 20 years now due to this. Although, their grown, damaged is majorly unbelieveable generationally. The mother, the custodial parent is on the DNC in her state, a pastor at her church, she sits on the board of directors for several well known national organizations of her state. I so pray that there is a change, I know have all but one child back with me, as the children got older they were able to see me for the person I truly am. But just as well he began to work harder and harder on the mind of my 17 year old daughter until she no longer talks to me. My other kids have not seen their father either, but I still do my best to encourage communication. I have been advised by mental health counselors that it would be detrimental to their mental and emotional health to force a relationship, and that I would be risking their trust in me if I continued to do so. Does this make me an alienator? I still encourage text messages, pictures, I even e-mail him when the kids have a sports event or activity but he refuses unless the invite is from them. I don't know how bad things were in his home and I don't press for information but what has been told to me has come from my mother in law and she has made it clear not to return the children because life is not what their father tries to portray it as. If I am not given the opportunity to fight for my daughter and I keep being put in the hot seat like my concerns don't matter and we can't trust mediators and judges to see through the smoke screen then who does our children have to turn to?REPORT COMMENTS

My heart breaks for my youngest stepdaughter who is now 20yo and my husband, her dad. Before the mother completely alienated the dad this child absolutely adored her daddy. The mother, court system, health care and mental health care communities have failed, and family court has helped destroyed so many lives. He hasn't seen his baby in 5 years. I haven't seen her in 7. Her paternal grandparents haven't seen her in years either. She was in our home one day enjoying time with us, loving on our little wiener dogs, laughing, and just loving life. Then, she was no longer there and told counselors she doesn't remember even 1 good memory at our home. THIS KIND OF CHILD ABUSE MUST STOP!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Governor Christie NJ wrote me a letter over a year ago stated he would have DYFS and the State check on my child and contact me. So far he has not contacted me. IGNORANCE IS ALLOWING VIOLENCE TO my slef and Innocent child. 4 years 1 month sense I have seen my child. My ex is abusive with a recored from Essex County to Warren County. He violated Court Order by Judge Weeks Essex County Family Court dated 2002 and Judge Gardner Would not enforce that court order that was John Mikedes Ordered Anger Management and Drug Councilling. He basically allowed my abuser to Abuse me in a US Federal Court House on tape recorded. Its a Violation of My Civil and Human Rights as well as My own Childs. No one in NJ has ever tried to contact me to rectify a Federal Court Houses mishap Under Federal , State Laws In Domestic Violence cases. As well as I am a non criminal Mother with no record being treated unfairly by a Bias -unprofessional Judge who doesnot follow Judicial Standards in a US Federal Court House under Congressional Laws.
