They should have to reap what they sow. Why should they have tax payer funded benefits while stealing ours. For every right they take, there needs to be consequences to them, we're all in this together.Jan 5th, 2017Maggie F. from Albuquerque, NM signed.

If you CONSERVATIVE representatives really believed what you're preaching you wouldn't have asked President Obama to illegally intervene to provide you with your ACA subsidy and you would abide by all the laws you pass onto the middle class and the poor. I ask you as Joseph N. Welch asked Joe McCarthy, ?Have you no sense of decency?? "Well, do you?" YOU ARE VULTURES, FEEDING OFF TAXPAYERS. THE VOTERS ARE FINALLY REALIZING YOU DON'T REPRESENT THEM BUT YOURSELVES AND THE 1%. Listed below are 8 additional benefits paid by taxpayers that should make you ashamed of yourselves, but won?t because you have no morals, you are soulless parasites. 5. Your ACA health insurance is illegally subsidized and for some of you that?s over $10,000 a year. 6. You have a free, on-site exclusive gym with flat-screen TVs, a swimming pool, a sauna and stream room, paddle ball and basketball courts. 7. Free child care including summer camp at a taxpayer cost of over $1M in 2015 8. Free Attending Physician at a taxpayer cost of over $3M in 2015 9. Each of you 435 Members of the House receive a $900,000 annual allowance for a staff as well as a $250,000 budget for travel and office expenses, paid for entirely by taxpayers. 10. Each of the 100 senators, on the other hand, gets a budget close to $3.3 million based on figures from the Congressional Research Service. 11. Your death benefits, if killed while in office, is at least one year's worth of salary, or a minimum of $174,000. In contrast, soldiers in the United States armed forces who perish while defending our country domestically or overseas are entitled to only $100,000 in military death benefits, as well as funeral and burial expenses. 12. This year, you worked only 126 days in Washington, that's if you showed up at all scheduled sessions. If you worked half of the remaining time away from Washington, that still results in over 17 weeks of paid leave and yet the majority of you vote against paid leave for your constituents.REPORT COMMENTS

I have been calling DC for over a year now and asking this same question of them. What are you giving up? You want everyone else to make cuts but you haven't given up anything. You should surrender your retirement funds to social security since you have stolen all of the citizens money we will just take yours as you have done to us. All the perks you get and time off to supposedly campaign but if you are not running for reelection those years it is nothing more than another vacation. Who do you think you are Obama? Get in touch with your constituents and represent them and not your selves..REPORT COMMENTS

We the people elect government officials to work for the benefit of this Nation, not to line their pockets with personal wealth and greed. The issue arising from Social Security and Medicare is simple. These programs ARE NOT YOURS TO DRAW FUNDS FROM !! The American people have paid into these programs for retirement purposes, including any medical issues, should they arise. The President-Elect was voted on the basis of him honoring his promise to the American People - that Social Security and Medicare will not be gouged. It's not a question now of whether or not you want to honor that promise. You will, or face turmoil in this Nation, and even impeachment.REPORT COMMENTS

I think that this government should not cut or touch social security benefits or any kind of care or aid to the elderly or poor unless they give up their pay checks and all their perks. They do not know or care how it is to worry about paying rent or buying food or going to see a doctor. They are all out of touch which most of America. The only people they are in touch with are the super wealthy and it is very apparent that that is all they care about not the elderly or the middle class worker. WHERE ARE THE PETITIONS FROM AARP NOW THAT TRUMP WILL BE "PRESIDENT" TO PROTECT THE ELDERLY THAT THEY CLAIM THEY LOOK OUT FOR??????. I think AARP should get on top of this issue NOW not later when it is too late. Congress already ruined Social Security back in 2008 when they changed the age to receive it. What will they do next. TELL US WE CANNOT COLLECT UNTIL WE ARE 100 YEARS OLD. ALL THEY WANT IS FOR US TO DIE SO THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PAY OUT. IT IS NOT THEIR MONEY AND THEY SHOULD SUPPORT THEIR OWN POLITICAL WARS WITH THE DEFENSE BUDGET NOT SOCIAL SECURITY.REPORT COMMENTS

I believe Congress, Senate, Legislators, House Reps, whatever else can be piled into there. Their secretaries, ect., should all receive significant salary cuts. In Pa, there are laws that shouldn't be on the books anymore that are just absurd. Like the illegal to sing in the shower. No car sales on Sunday's. These pigs have sucked America dry while partying on our slave labor. We need to get back to the mentality that those who want these positions take the positions based on the desire to help the average joe (themselves) better the communities in which they live, work, and play. Instead, high paying salaries, spending allowances 4 times greater than my yearly mortgage. Free healthcare for them and their spouses while I have my healthcare plan rearranged to fund Oh no ma care AKA affordable health care. Whatever. I'm fed up. We should all be fed up. The Kings and Queens are sucking the wealth up and shipping the good paying jobs off shores allowing for tariff free goods to come back in.REPORT COMMENTS
