1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office.
2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the
Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into
the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the
American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress will have an incentive plan. Their pay will decrease based on poor performance.
a. As the following goes up their pay goes down:
Budget deficit and national debt, beyond modest increase of CPI, Unemployment.
b. As the following goes down their pay also goes down with it:
Value of the Dollar, GDP
6. Congress will calculate GDP without the sum of government expenditures on final goods and services. It includes salaries of public servants, purchase of weapons for the military, and any investment expenditure by government.
7. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
8. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
9. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women.
10. All Congressmen/women must uphold, protect, and enforce the Constitution of the United States as it was written by our founding fathers. They will take the following Oath:
"I, [name] do solemnly swear or affirm an oath of office to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God"

25 to life for failing to do so would adequately seal the deal.
All of Congress MUST be held too the fire.
Most of you are already wealthy and don't need any subsistance, besides it's supposed to be a 4-8 year office term - not a job!
The following should be added:
11. All Congressmen/women cannot purchase or sell stocks, funds, anything in the market or pass on information to their investment companies or agents while holding office.
Penalties will be double those punished as insider trading laws. You are there to work for us, if you don't think that is fair then don't run.
12. Vacations are on your dime, if you need to have a conference in another state family and friends pay their own way.
13. As the military did, you will be issued an American express card for your expenditures.
All uses will be posted for the public to review within 72 hours and Quarterly to ensure use for official needs only.
AS for #7 above, I feel the Congressmen/women should be put on the same Health care plan our Active and Retired Military members have.
This should guarantee our Nations Defenders have the best possible care available.
