This radical expansion on the failed "War on Drugs" creates a new class of criminals, where none existed before and further limits American’s freedom of choice.
Bill S. 605 and its companion bill H.R. 1254 continues the unconstitutional destruction of our personal liberties and, like current prohibitive federal legislation against state-approved medical marijuana, are economically impossible to enforce.
In short, these bills aim to make hundreds of synthetic cannabinoid medical research compounds illegal. Currently, these compounds are used by millions in the private market to legally seek relief from neurological pain and other disorders.
These bills also greatly expands the powers of the failed Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), an agency, which despite heavy taxpayer investment, has failed to demonstrate any tangible success within its merits
These bills present a slippery slope with no foreseeable end. Any product used against its intended and instructed use can be dangerous. These products have no greater potential for abuse or danger than any number of legally sold products.

please consider the fact that many products on the market and sold in stores also contain this and similar ingredients that are used everyday do we ban those products. Too much money is being spent to fight the sale of incense in the free market , yet we let our criminals who are selling hard drugs without regulation on our streets everyday and nothing gets done , why when our state seems to be in such economic distress and a product as such could help with that relief . I am a voter and citizen of the United States but i feel as though my freedom of choice is being denied by the same politicians I elected into office. This product is no more harmful than that of tobacco and alcohol which is not banned in our country and kills people everyday.

There is no reason to ban these chemicals, FOR ANY REASON, let alone before we actually test their medicinal applications. So many potentially life saving and LIFE CHANGING drugs are swept aside by legislators, the senate and congress. Let stop these tyrants from further destroying our already tarnished constitutional, No EXCUSE MAN - HUMAN RIGHTS! This war on drugs HAS TO STOP, NOW! Before more irrepreable damage is done to our FREEDOM GODDAMNIT!!
This is absolutely ridiculous and completely unfair, let the people do what we want to do. Im sick and tired of the Government trying to get into all of our business, if we arent hurting anybody or bothering anybody just let us be.
This bill serves no purpose whatsoever. It is a waste of time and energy. The bill must be completely revised or you won't be able to eat pizza because it has a quote/unquote "herbal blend". Tea would also fall into this category as would any food that has any type of seasoning on it. If a bill as ridiculous such as this passes then i'm pretty sure their would be a lot of ****ed off italians who's livelihood would be taken away just fro the spices alone because this bill doesn't just ban synthetic cannabinoid compounds, it also bans herbal incense a.k.a. potpurri a.k.a. seasonings. Revise this bill before you try to pass it. One more thing, on a personal level, the only people that would want to see "fake pot" banned are crusty old people that are afraid of personal human power. Don't make your own personal beliefs that are grounded in complete falsitivity and retridation (that means lies and stupidity by the way) be able to make up your mind. maybe while this stuff is still legal all of congress should try it so they can understand how it really doesn't do crap to ya except give ya bad breath and act as a placebo. People wanna get high so much that they smoke these incense believing it will work and for some it does. I can honestly tell you there is not one chemical in any of these "herbal blends" that reacts in the human brain anyway near the same as thc does from marijuana. Just a marketing ploy. Along the same lines as how cigarettes are marketed. The fact of the matter is that you're only gonna create more problems and more work if you pass this bill without a massive revision because eating a pastrami sandwich for lunch wold be illegal if this bill passed. Nice work guys. Good to know the people who vote in this country voted the proper people in for the job.

All I read is so true. There are much bigger issues to address and spend hard earned tax money on then an herbal incense that has a demand and in turn generates money for economy. It is saddening to know the money I've earned "breaking my back" and have taken from me to provide services I need, is being wasted away on tiny issues. Leave herbal incense alone.
Government has no business dictating to grown adults what they can and can't do with their own bodies and personal lives. With all the important economic issues concerning this nation, government has a lot of nerve wasting precious tax-dollars funding opinion laws based entirely on the personal beliefs of a few, over the will of the many!! Frankly, what consenting adults choose to do with their bodies in the privacy of their own homes is not the business of government and I, as do millions of others in this nation, think it’s high time government grew-up and began conducting themselves not as arrogant masters of the people, but as humble servants of the people.
