Horses arent raised for meat in the US. OWNER RESPONSIBILITY is the answer. Thier are other answers to this problem, the government just needs to try harder. Get it done! We've been trying to pass a federal ban on horse slaughter since 1998. What is the problem, Washington?? It's toxic meat. The FDA would never approve its consumption in the US. We violate our own FDA export regulations by exporting horses for slaughter for human consumption - it's not in compliance with EU laws.
