A bill to amend the Horse Protection Act to prohibit the shipping, transporting, moving, delivering, receiving, possessing, purchasing, selling, or donation of horses and other equines to be slaughtered for human consumption, and for other purposes.
Besides the fact that the FDA has said that horse meat is toxic and unfit for human consumption the slaughter process is inhuman.

99 percent of horses that started in California last year raced on bute, according to Daily Racing Form. Bute is banned in the United States and Canada for horses intended for the food chain. That’s a permanent ban.The new FDA regulations approved on Feb 13, 2003 include as well phenylbutazone, aka bute, deemed this drug toxic and cancer causing for human consumption.

USA, a nation without compassion??? It surely seems that way. It's all in the hands of our elected Politicians to regain America's compassion for the people, of the people and by the people!.
We are becoming a barbaric nation just all the 3rd world countrys that eat dogs, cats and anything that grows or walks.
Get it done! We've been trying to pass a federal ban on horse slaughter since 1998. What is the problem, Washington?? It's toxic meat. The FDA would never approve its consumption in the US. We violate our own FDA export regulations by exporting horses for slaughter for human consumption - it's not in compliance with EU laws.

FROM THE BEGINNING OF TIME...PEOPLE LIVED OFF GRAINS AND FRUITS AND DAIRY THAT CAN BE GOTTEN FROM OUR LIVESTOCK. THE KILLING AND CANNING OUTLOOK IS MEAN. MEAN. AND DISGUSTING. WHERE DID THE HUMAN GO WRONG IN THEIR ACTIONS TOWARDS THE ANIMALS AND THEIR HANDLEING? MAKES ME SICK AND SCARED OF PEOPLE. IT IS TRULY FREIGHTENING. STOP. STOP STOP.
