Signing with love for the Wilms Tumor Cluster in St. Clair County, MI. We will not rest until the externalized costs of corporate dumping and those artificial profits are returned to those who suffer for their corporate gain and, well there aren't words for it.
Children may not vote but their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents and a host of other people who love them do. Cancer, especially environmentally caused cancer, needs to be addressed by our government. Protect our children and pass this bill.
It is beneficial to the short and long term business and economic interests of our country to protect our communities health by finding out what has happened in certain communities to cause ill health. 9-11 is often used as an example of a need to defend and protect. Disease clusters in communities is a 9-11 call to find out how we citizens have caused our fellow citizens harm through ignorance and/or mismanagement of resources. This is a 9-11 wake-up call to protect our children and their children by exploring and finding out the reasons for disease clusters.

In Appalachia, childrena and adults alike are being diagnosed with cancer from being exposed to the toxins in the air and water caused by mountaintop removal/surface mining.
People won't realize how precious water is, until it is gone. We need to act now to protect our rivers, lakes and streams. Everyone can do their part. I just participated in a community river clean up. It is sickening that people use the waterways as their personal trash bin.
