3 days is not enough for the loss of a child for sure.
When my 18 year old son died, I was totally incapacitated for a long time. This is a much-needed change!
I am signing to honor Erica Kluger and to support her dad, Barry Kluger, for all of his passionate work on this important issue.
This should have been put in A LONG time ago!!!! Some companies have little time for grief which if you research this it can take years, so 12 weeks off shouldnt be too much to ask!
We need to include bereavement for spouses & children. The word is "FAMILY" medical leave act.
We lost our 2 year old suddenly one morning without warning. No one who has lost a child should ever be expected to return to work the day after the funeral. Please it is cruel not to add child loss this law.
This is a tragic event that has no time limit. Please allow parents to have time to grieve before making them return to their jobs. There is no deeper pain.
Any thing with family members should be included to loose a child is the worse ever u need more time than 12 months there shouldnot be a time u need to have worked this amount of hours either
My cousin heather lost he 9 year old son due to a virus after his immune system was stripped due to receiving a bone marrow transplant to cure his cancer he had. This was her only child and he passed away. It's been hard on her whole family.
