please set him free correct the wrong the United States has done to him
Leonard Peltier has been a political prisoner for decades. He never earned or deserved this punishment or the subsequent poor treatments he has received. To deny him quality health care is an abomination! Leonard Peltiers release holds no threat to anyone or anything. He is a victim of bureaucratic injustice and political games and should be released and sent to the finest medical facility at the governments expense immediately, with apologies to him, to his family, and to the Native American communities. This alone would start to begin to repair the damage still being done in terms of race relations with the Native people of this country. At the least it would lesson many of the current tensions, felt by Mr Peltiers supporters, and possibly crack open doors that were slammed long ago to the US Government because of it's lies, deceit, theft, slaughters and interment of the Native people on their own lands, known as reservations. It's time to be a man of the true and original citizens of this country and do what is the only right thing to do.
Leonard Peltier has been a political prisoner for LONG ENOUGH. It's time to FREE him to live out the rest of his days with his loved ones. Do NOT allow this man to DIE IN PRISON!!
It's about time those "in charge" do the Right thing and release Leonard!
This man has been in prison for over 30 years for a crime which he did not commit. At the very least, he should be transferred to the Mayo Clinic so that he may receive adequate medical care.
Dear President Obama, you have the Executive Judicial Power literally in the palm of your hand to Reunite Leonard Peltier with his family AND "We the People" who have prayed for and loved him for more than 40 years. I plead the 8th Amendment for his immediate Compassionate Release or better yet, Pardon this innocent man.
FREE THIS MAN - HIS LIFE HAS BEEN TAKEN FROM HIM
HE HAS BEEN MADE SICK FROM YEARS OF DEPRIVATION AND TORMENT
PLEASE STEP INTO THE LIGHT AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT.
EVERY HUMAN DESERVES JUSTICE, FREEDOM, THE RIGHT TO LIFE
MERCY for an innocent!
Please move him to get Medical care!
the case against this man fell apart long ago-but even if you don't believe that-consider this-a buddy of mine who was in the army stationed in Germany, watched Albert speer strut from a 'copter to a waiting Mercedes, his 20 year term at spandau was over,he was driven off into freedom-he had been hitler's armaments minister-prolonged ww2 -for 18 months with the use of slave labor-unlike peltier, the case against him was documented, justice Jackson ,who presided at Nuremberg made damned sure he got a fair trial-no serious person believes that peltier got anything remotely resembling a fair trial-please,help this man.
We are praying for you Leonard. May the Lord be with you. Oh God we cry out to you to deliver our nation from evil and bring justice for Leonard and peace to America.

please urge Obama to free Leonard Peltier!
To be American Indian is to be devalued as a human being.
I guess the government is still P/O ed about Custer. All of the free world were afended by Hitlers attempt to eradicate the Jews,,But forgot what we did to the Native Americans. If we rely on Obama to do any thing for Leonard Peltier, I think we can kiss Leonard good by. Our president is for himself and screw the American people.
This whole affair was so wrong. I pray for his release and with a strong voice ask my government to at least partailly right an atrocious wrong by freeing this man.
I emailed my Senator, John Boozman who answered with a letter and Constituent Service Authorization Form which needs to be filled out by Leonard in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act. Boozman and his staff cannot do anything without his permission. Senator Boozman said he would do all he can to help...but needs more information from Leonard.
Please free this man and give him access to medical treatment.
I am Native American and this incident was before my time but I have chosen to follow this and hope and pray that he will see freedom some day. After watching a documentary on Leanord my children 17 and younger have chosen to care about his situation on thier own. Questions were asked and I told them do look it up on the internet and they did. They are a whole younger generation eager to know. This makes me proud as a native mother. We are hoping so hard to see him released one day that if that time ever comes we have made plans to be standing outside the facility no matter where that might be the day he walk out. I have a ball in my throat just writing these few words. Justise for Leanord if hoped for by many people and my family are some of those people.
one of the writers of our Constitution once made the statement the "It is better to free 10 Guilty men than to have 1 Innocent man be imprisioned" Why is the government conducting such a blaitent attrocity is beyond reason, Give this man adequate healthcare and release and COMPENSATE him for his pain and suffering!
Leonard was a scape goat for retribution, what happened at pine ridge was wrong . i simply propose that the FBI acted rashly just as we saw at Waco and Ruby Ridge. These were years later an the tactics were very much the same with the same outcome. My brother has suffered enough
I, a veteran of the US armed services, am greatly disturbed by the continued atrocities this government commits, not just against the Native peoples, but in general to all of those that seek justice and equality in how this government interacts with those outside of itself. The fact that I have served this country in a role of a warrior and have helped perpetuate these kind of policies of discrimination sickens my spirit and my mind. Since it hurts me as a warrior of this nation it should also hurt you, a member of this nation. If this were to happen to myself or any other warrior of this country by a foreign power the entire government, if not the nation, would be up in arms and demanding the release and access to medical attention for those individuals. A perfect example of this is the three white hikers that were taken prisoner by the Iranian government. But since Mr. Peltier is a Native warrior this government can justify false imprisonment and convictions of an individual in the name of justice for two FBI agents that were violating Tribal Nation borders on false pretense.
He is a political prisoner that is being treated in the same inhumane way and fashion as the other political prisoners of this country since 9/11. President Obama, a constitutional law attorney, should know a miscarriage of justice when it is before him. And since this is such a gross miscarriage of justice, he should be released not only for medical attention and freedom from this cruel and unusual punishment, the solitary confinement for the idiotic mistakes of a bigoted prison guard, but also be given back what is left of his life. This is just another example of this government raping those that stand int he way of corporate and governmental profit. I am ashamed to consider myself American when the country I chose to give my life for takes the lives of others so willingly without any remorse of consideration.
Leonard Peltier needs medical care. He also needs to be set free. Please do the right thing.
Just read The Legacy of Luna (already 10 yrs old) wish I had read it 10 yrs ago - she mentions Leonard in her subsequent acklowledgments, one of the most beautiful 2 pgs I have ever read
I am currently reading Mr. Peltier's book Prison Writings, and it is astonishing how much evidence the government DOESN'T have against him, yet somehow he is still in jail. Gotta love the U.S.A.
It has been proven that the FBI couldn't show that Leonard shot the FBI, and even the FBI stated this. President Clinton was going to grant clemincy to Leonard Peltier, but the FBI said no. Who runs this country the FBI, no, the President does. Now I hand this to the hands of God! May God have mercy on your soul!
Mr Peltier should be released as well as recieve appropriate medical care. Out government needs to be held accountable
