they have people locked up as if they murdred somebody...these poeple made mistakes and have had alot of their life taken.please make the law retroactive, that would put our loved one home.he is a good man and has been in prison 13 yrs.thats enough!! in the name of JESUS!!
i feel that this new crack law should go retroactive because alot of our men, mainly african american men has been giving to much time for crack cocain. a person that has went out and murdered someone wasnt looking at that much time.
If you want to do justice then make all the crack/cocaine users pay back all the money they caused tax payers to spend then think about them getting reduced sentences and I am not suprised obama changed the law, I am sure like all the other decisions that he thinks he is doing good.
please make this law retroactive so many of our young and now old black men and women have been locked away for so long. and now its time to correct this unjustice and bring these sons and daughters husband and wives home to there love ones.
A close friend of mine made a terrible mistake as a young adult and chose to sell drugs. Once he heard there was a warrant out for his arrest he turned hinself in. He has been incarcerated for the last two years, he is sentenced to a total of sixteen. He recognizes his mistake but I feel he is not being given a chance to change. He is locked up federally and was given this outragous sentence for this crime. He was living on the streets and felt that he was at a dead end. I believe that he deserves to be reprimanded but not to this extent. Aside from how it effects him, there are ways this extensive incarceration effects our community financially. It causes us billions of dollars to house these non-violent inmates annually. Please pass these bills and bring our loves ones home so that they can atleast have a chance to prove to society that they can and have changed.
My older brother Marlon Boudoin, has be incarcerated for the last fourteen years. Marlon was addicted to crack cocaine and committed crimes related to his addiction. He was never once was given an opportunity to seek help in a drug treatment facility. None of his offenses are violent. Please make this act of legislation retroactive so that he will be able to come home soon.
