The backlog needs to be dealt with. I have been here since 2003 on a L1 then H1b, this backlog is not right.
Been here 6 years, another 4 to go until my priority date is current (assuming the current movement happens). I'm not chineese, I'm not indian, i'm not philipino, i'm not mexican. I have bought a house, pay taxes and do the right thing. I also have a million US in assets in my home country and I will not bring these to the US until I have my green card. Please, clear the EB (3) backlog and do not remove the per-country limits.
I am here in US for nearly 14 years. My first GC application went down the drain as the company went bankrupt then I moved to another company and the process started in 2006. Right now the backlog is sitting somewhere in August 2002. Even if the country wide restrictions are taken off it may take couple of years for me to get the GC. Someone told that the USCIS should be using the old Permanent Resident visa numbers which are wasted in earlier years. This is the only way to end this never ending torture of waiting. This restricts my movement; I cannot take a permanent job as I am still on EAD. In the last 4 months I lost at least 6 opportunities because I don’t have a GC. In this economy and job market losing opportunities because of no fault of mine is ridiculous. Right now contracting companies are looking for people like me because they know I have no choice but to take whatever they offer. The pay cut is nearly 60%. What to do but keep the wheels moving isn’t it?
Please do something to help us. This process remind us law system in developing country where it takes 10 years for justice.
It's a long wait and is painful for skilled workers,

Please do the needful to fix this process
I've been in USA for more than 11 years and even got a letter from Social security that I've completed my 40 quarters term and I'm now eligible for all the social security benefits. But still waiting for my green card. I've applied under EB3 category in 2005
My wife and I have been in this country for 10 years. We got educated here (Undergrad and Masters) and have been working at our respective jobs for the past few years. We have been waiting for our Green Card for almost 5 years now and still have no End in sight as my petition was filed under the EB3 category.

Please eliminate the country limits for employment based petitions and not include dependents in the numbers. We believe in this nation and would like to use our skills to advance it even further.
i think uscis should consider our request. i believe america can provide equal oppurnuites irrespectice of country. it should expedite eb2 and eb3 process.
we have almost more than 300000 skilled immigrant working in US with good paying job and waiting for their GC. Expediating their VISA number for permanent residency will definately add more buyers in US housing market. We could add buying house condition for quicker processing of GC. This is a win-win situation. (Nobody is taking anyone jobs, Goverment is not any funding bailout to housing industry, No Government Spending!)
Respected Dignitaries of US Govt & Legislative,

We would like to thank you for the opportunity you have provided us to be in this country and contribute to this great nation and also enjoy the fruits of our contribution unlike many other nations across the globe.

As witnessed in the history of the USA, people have to progress to build a strong and a better future and for this nation to remain number one in the world. To be able to partake in the contribution of the continual success of this nation, we the skilled labor would also need some more certainty and stability in our lives to take up new opportunities, create new small businesses and employ several others and contribute for the growth of the economy.

That certainty & stability is needed for our families to be together, be able to press forward with our creativity, talent, productivity without worrying about the visa issues or employers taking advantage of us by employing us in the same positions we started several years ago and not advancing.

This can be made possible by issuing a green card for those in EB2/EB3 categories which will enable the skilled labor to invest in this country and build this great nation even more stronger.

Thank you again for the opportunity given to us to listen to our petition.
There are 100 ways to do it wrong. There is one thing to do it right and that is to reform EB category.

Just make it right.
we work for USA companies developement. we use US travel system for travelling. we do shopping in US shops. We goto USA doctors/schools. We buy cars, house in USA. FOR ALL THIS WE NEED PEACE FULL ENVIRONEMNT. some dont need to stay long but having EAD will give them happy life. EB2/EB3 visas to current will make this possible.

If US congress makes EB2/EB3 visas to current, I can say Indians can greatly contribute to US economy by buying Houses(100%), new Cars, Kids also can contribute by getting into Gifted programs, so that it would be more helpful to US technology sectory.
Please observe that lot of EB2,EB3 visa category people are waiting to apply final stage (I-485 Adjustment Of Status)in greencard process,So please make it Current for India and process the applications asap.So we can take big financial decisions like buying houses, starting new firms here which will definitely boost USA economy.
Please note that lot of EB3 category Indian applicants are waiting to get their green cards to make big financial decisions like: Starting up a new business, Invest in real estate, promoting new ventures in US. These decision will have huge impact in improving US economy and job creation. Please look into this issue and change policies to spead up GC process of EB3 India category applicants.
Congress need to think about high skilled legal non immigrants to become immigrants and to grow US economy.
This issue has to be resolved ASAP. These people is not taking jobs from Americans, they're here because there are not enough skilled Americans available to do that kind of jobs. They are paying taxes, even social security while they could not use it. Those people can create new start ups to give jobs to Americans. Right now all the focus is pointed to illegal immigrants because they're millions, but there's a long way to fix it. Legal immigration, on the other hand, should be easier to fix, there are representatives willing to give support to legals while also don't want to support illegal immigration. This has to be fixed ASAP.
The Greencard backlog for skilled workers is a barrier to living a quaility life. It keeps families apart. One cannot change jobs or grow professionally as this process is holding back people in a negative way on a personal and professional level.
Is there any benefit to be law abiding immigrant, paying taxes, not even a single violation including traffic tickets and still go through the endless wait to become permanent residents?
What a laugh to wait for so long to get this. inspite we pay taxes, processing fees etc and what a way to suck the money. I am better off jumping over the wall and coming in.
This current backlog is killing families from being able to work, create wealth and pay more tax...
Please do something and help us out of this huge backlog. We have been waiting for over a decade now for green card.
