If the environmental movement could unite around one thing-- this should be it. We'll be stuck with no one to vote for come 2012, if we cannot get some change from the Department of Interior. I will not vote again for President Obama if Salazar stays. As a progressive there are plenty of reasons I am disappointed, but expansion of coal and nuclear and offshore drilling, and the lack of regulation of these industries at this fragile moment in history is a deal breaker.
This is a travesty what is happening to our wild horses, the abuses they have endured, etc has been more than documented. If this were the public sector this man would have lost is job years ago. he his cronies, the BLM and all involved should have complete personal and business audits. Ken should have been more proactive in this disaster. It is to bad that his only "big" statment during the leak was on the moratorium to stop deep drilling on offshore drilling this week but he did nothing to assemble a team within hours of this disaster to stop the leak. He is a 2 year Senator with no experience or track record in Natural Resouces. I have none either and would not like to have a Cabinet position. Owning a Ranch in Southern Colorado and wearing a Cowboy Hat when visiting and stumping for votes does not constitute having a Cabinet position. I wish him the best and hope this mess is cleared up very soon!

I don't think Mr. Salazar is very intelligent and think he needs to be replaced with a smarter person who can think on his/her feet and explore/propose some solutions instead of making statements like the big, bad government having the "boot on the throat of BP." We already know how big big government is and don't need Mr. Salazar reminding us.
