Most Animal abusers are given little to no jail time, getting fined & probation as the only punishment. This needs to change!! Animals should not be deemed "PROPERTY" such as your car, home etc. Last time I checked my home, car does not bleed, feel fear & pain nor have a beating heart. But animals do!!! And they DO feel fear and pain. The only difference between them & us is THEY CANNOT SPEAK for themselves!! So I speak for them.
The abuse animals suffer here in the United States MUST STOP NOW! I honestly don't care if it comes from local government or national government, penalties for animal cruelty need to fit the crime. Abusers should do time and have to pay hefty fines for their actions.
i cry every time i see those sad videos about animal cruelty. its so sad i just got done watching one .my name is Taylor and i'm a girl and 10 years old please help these poor animals they need us so much i love them infinety even more than that please help
I am so tired of being sad about all the sweet animals that are just neglected, put down and used for getting money. This is my world also and I shouldn't have to be so sad all the time because other people just aren't right about the care of another living being. We need more education on how to care for animals. More spay and neuter programs and stricter laws to protect them. I myself have recently started fostering a Dog from the kill list in Mahatten shelter. I live in Western NY. Really I had to care for a dog in Mahatten where all the well off people live?! I am not well off but this little dog is Happy and loved and most of all not scared any more. It's time to make changes because alot of people are angry about how animals are treated in the good old USA!
I read about so many cases of animal cruelty in the papers. Often, it's the owner (I won't say "care taker" because they are certainly not that). Other times it's relatives, boyfriend or girl friend, or burglers who aren't satisfied with just stealing, they have to abuse and torture an animal as part of the "fun".
I believe in order for this to stop, there needs to be more severe penalties for intentional animal cruelty and neglect, and those penalties need to be strictly enforced, no "slaps on the wrist".
I have been adopting animals from shelters for years. It breaks my heart to think people can be so cruel to such a precious thing as GODS own creation. I love every one of my animals. (dogs & cats)
Sadistic cruelty & abuse should be punished as such. These sadists need to be rehabilitated, educated & sensitized. They should not be allowed to own or be around any animals in the future.
There is no place in society for monsters that would prey on, torture and abuse an innocent animal! We need stronger laws and serious action to speak up for all the animal victims who have died, those who are living in terror and for the future of God's creatures!
I've had my lil jack russell torn to pieces last week by a dog that has mange been tied and neglected and 2 of my neighbors have left their dogs chained all weekend in the hot sun without water or food
