Gabriella\'s Law

I am asking you to please consider looking into changing the regulations for golf cart safety, not on golf carts for courses, strictly those designed for recreational use, or to transport people from place to place. They have no seatbelts or any handles or side rails to hold you inside the cart. My daughter fell off of our family golf cart a little over a week ago and passed away. After researching I discovered that is not just children falling out of carts, but adults have fallen out of golf carts and died. It seems that the industry for golf carts has changed to recreational vehicles also, yet there have been no changes to the safety requirements since the boom in there popularity.

My seven year old son fell off a golf cart and died from a head injury on 8/30/2004 and I just saw an article entitled, "Golf Cart Safety not a worry" in our newspaper. It is time for more regulations around golf cart safety.
My sister fell out of our golf cart and got scraped up bad.
I think it's critical that golf carts are more regulated. I live in a golf course community and see all kinds of silly things taking place that could easily turn into a tragedy.
When Golf Cart manufactories fail to provide safety features then congress has to step in. Our children are dying because nobody knows how dangerous these are.
