I am as liberal as they come, but just being born here providing citizenship no longer makes sense. The 14th Amendment was to guarantee former slaves citizenship. Here in Arizona, we have too many women coming over the border just to give birth and to give their baby U.S. Citizenship. We who live here must pick up the hospital tab as well.
senator and rep we are the only country in the world that still allows non citizen pregnant women to give birth in the u.s allowing there baby to be come a citizen when it is not wanted here why dont you think that other countrys stop that a long time ago because there gov wanted to regulate the birth control in there country

It's ILLEGAL for a reason. Enforce the laws, pass & use eVerify. I wish there was a dollar figure on how much ILLEGALS cost hard working, tax paying Americans of ALL colors, religions and national origins. Just look at Mexico's immigration policy. If businesses that hire ILLEGALS are FINED, ILLEGALS will self-deport. If you want to be an American, DO IT LEGALLY! Anyone with a half a brain and half an hour can research the Citizenship Clause and the Civil Rights Act of 1866, and deduce that Post-Civil-War American was only ensuring the citizenship of ex-slaves and their children, NOT the spawn of a millions-strong invasion force!!
