New Laws Needed For Abused Animals

Most states will have felony charges for animal abuse as of the first of the year, it needs to be the most strict charge of a felony, with mandatory jail time!

Also these people who abuse animals, should be put on a regeristy list that would let everyone know that they have been convicted of Animal Abuse, also to include, a warning to all animal adoption, rescue, Humane Societys, Animal Control, not to let these abusers adopt any animal, at anytime.

This problem is becoming too common.
Abusers are walking away with a fine, and a slap on the wrist.

This is entirely sending the wrong message to the abuser!

Animals can not speak for themselves, I for one, am willing to step up to help protect them.

Please help the souls of these animals, that have been broken through abuse.

Animals can feel pain, and have feelings just as we do.

Animals express unconditional love,and are loyal.

How can we ignore this problem?

If an animal is abused, or killed, shouldn't there be new laws put in place that will protect them?

There needs to be strict Felony charges, with jail time.

We are responsible for protecting those who cannot speak for themselves or defend themselves. It's up to our justice system to show that abuse of an animal WILL NOT be tolerated. By allowing an animal killer or abuser to walk free, our legal system is saying that animal ha no value. That is UNACCEPTABLE! The message must be clear - Abuse an animal, you WILL do serious prison time!

If someone broke into my home and stole everything I owned, they would probably go into jail, and I would be out some money. If someone came into my house and killed or abused my cat, I would make sure that they were dead. I would not rest until that person was dead. I don't care how insignificant it is, if someone ever aggressively attacked my animal they would not live to see the light of day should I catch them. How can you have mandatory jail time for stealing material items, but a living breathing organism that 80 million Americans have in their family is a slap on the wrist and some probation. I can't fathom how sick a person is to do this. I mean, even committing crimes I could "imagine" myself doing (Not that I would...), but abusing an animal is UNIMAGINABLE and REPUGNANT. This should be met with swift and severe punishment free from ANY compassion WHATSOEVER. THese people should be locked away in a cell and left to rot, without any freedoms. If they want to inflict such atrocious pain and suffering onto an animal, they should be made to receive the same. They should have their freedom taken away and put in a jail cell for a MINIMUM of 2 YEARS. If I ran a country and could make my own laws, if someone went out of the way to torture and inflict serious harm or kill an animal, they would receive the same exact treatment in the same exact manner. I'm not usually for 'an eye for an eye' but animals are helpless, and showing such hate towards the helpless reflects a complete lack of morality and human nature.
