I am a disabled american and really could use this stimulus money. I am facing major surgery on my eyes and cant drive anymore for i am an endangerment to society according to the state of california. Please send me some stimulus money to help me out. thank you
obama is just interested in making the rich richer. obama dosen't care that people ion disabilty have to squeeze every penny till it squeaks. he dosne' know what it's like tostand in line at the food pantry. he's never had to put his kids to bed without dinner and i"m almost positive that he has never done without electricity or heat. obama and all elected officials don't understand that getting this 250.00 would be like manna from heaven. obama, if you are the man you claimed to be during the election

Almost 12yrs.ago I took a grandchild to raise I worked hard trying to support her and give her the life she deserves.Then when she was 10 months I got injured and I now have had Major spinal surgeries and forced to go to disability and can't work,She didn't ask for this and either did I,But now I ask for help!!!
I am also one of the many people that need this money. We have been lied to again, and again. Most of us are struggling just to make ends meet while congress and others line their pockets and fill their bellies.
I would like to see congress live on what we get for income, just for one month, then maybe they would change their minds.
I worked hard all my life and didn't ask to be disabled. But I have to live on the meager amount that is given to me. Congress!!! You try to buy food with the $10.00 left in my account after all bills and rent paid. We shouldn't have to go to food pantry's. Our country should be taking care of the elderly, and disabled.They have failed us again........
i nigel wagner is sadden by the congress and senators rejects the $250 stimulus payment for people on ssi and ss but they can give themselfs pay raises and approve federal employees 2% pay raises but then when it comes to cola for people on ssi and ss they say we not going to get a pay raise because of inflation about their pay raises theres no money for people on ssi and ss do to inflation but theres enough money to give themselfs pay raises and approve federal employees 2% raises right there is the aren't complaining about inflation should the federal employees and the senators and the congress pay raises should not happen do to inflation.

The House & Senate members should be ashamed to accept large salary increases and benefits and then deny the elderly such a small amount since they didn't receive a COLA.
i just read an article about the senate not allowing the measure to go through. with no cola or anything to help us what can we do but vote out these rich bastards and hope they will feel what it is like to be broke at the end of the month,every month. i know they won't feel it because they are already set for life. VOTE THEM OUT ANYWAY!!!!!

If you had to live like I do, you would see things altogether in a different light. I worked and paid taxes for 40 years and now can't pay my monthly bills or get groceries. Mt 1229.00 SSD, will not allow me for any programs, food stamps, fuel assistance, etc. I have had no LP since December, no Christmas presents or even a tree were bought in 2009. Please tell me how you people expect us to live. I didn't know I was going to get sick and not be able to work,granted my check is more than some, but when you can't even go to the doctor because of no insurance, this makes no sense. What has America come to. too bad I am not an illegal, I could get everything paid for.
did congress pass the bill in law yet to people that receives ssi and ss and veterans payments and when can we expect to see and why does it take congress so to pass a bill or not pass a bill what do the do all besides rip off the tax payers if they want your taxes they want fast if they don't have the money to give people on ssi and ss and ssd raises how in the hell did the have the money to give themselfs raises whats wrong with that picture if the money isn't their to give people that is on ssi and ssd and ss raises then the money isn't there to give themselfs raises the government officals don't care about the people it is all about the money. the government officals should live on what we live on for a month or two then they will know how hard it is to live we need that $250 asap we need know not whenever that decide to pass the bill.
i could really use this money after paying all my bills i have very little left we had no increase in our checks but yet everything else went up the light company raised there rates along with the gas company
My biggest question is why the gas prices are rising,people have to get gas vouchers through local government agencies to help them get to doctors appts.I am not understanding why low income people have limited resources this stimulus check does help us.Unforunately most of this check for people like me is put into gas for appt. or car repairs on a 1995 vehicle or older. Just enough to get by one day at a time.
How totally ludicrous that we were sent a notice from Social Security that the Cost of Living did not increase in 2009. Every time I go grocery shopping, at least 3-4 items that I buy routinely increase 20 to 30 in one jump, our Natural Gas and Water & trash and Electric services have all increased their rates. Gasoline prices go up daily, prescription drug prices are an obscene example of greedmongers preying on sick people who CANNOT be without their medication. And you have the GALL to tell us "The price of Chocolate is down today" PLEASE !!! At least give us our $250, so we can pay off some overdue doctor bills, that's what mine went for last year. Three of my children are disabled and I am constantly running to Dr. appointments. I don't know how anyone in my situation could be expected to afford the gas, a roof over there heads, an electric bill from hell (no matter how many energy saving tricks you use), and still be able to put food on the table! I'm lucky if I can squeeze $200 a month out of my tight budget to eat. Or there is the alternative don't go see the Dr.'s, surgeons, and therapists my children need. But who am I to complain it's "free money" that I and my husband paid into for so long for exactly a situation like this.
I am a single mother of two children. I myself do not receive SSI as I am in the process of fighting for it. But my son does. My sons father was murdered in 2001, my daughters father well eh, either which way I get ZERO help with my children.. Please pass this bill. $674.00 doesn't go far. Even though government says cost of living didn't go up things did. Government workers and politicians shouldn't get a raise either but they will. It should be a lot more than $250.00 considering the money passed out to the big banks and businesses.

It is about time the Congress wakes up and realizes that some people do need that money to make ends meet. It may a little money, but when you are disabled, every little bit helps.
