I understand why the government had to come with this particular piece of legislation. But I also want the government to understand the cost of this legislation to people like me that have nothing to do with terrorism and wrongly added to the list. I came to this wonderful country by the end of 1999. I was then 29 years old and now I am 41. I never touched a gun In my whole life and imagine what it feels to be categorized in the terrorist list. Please, for God's sake do the best you can do just to us who are wrongly classified as terrorists.
I have been in USA since 1988. The presedent was Mr. Reagan. After him I saw four more presedents in the whitehouse. But my case is still on hold. I haven't given up hope, but tired. I just have a little problem , which is I am getting old. I just want to live quite and peacefuly the rest of my life and not to be called undesignated terrorist.

I was granted asylum by an Immigration Judge 5 years ago, went to grad school here in America, worked for a US major airport, and now I work for a US Government prime contractor right here in Washington DC. I travel overseas every 2 months and always I must get country clearances and Travel approval by the State Department! Now USCIS says that I am inadmissible based on 212(a)(3)(B)! What a joke congress! Please help to fix this mess!
ELEVEN YEARS PENDING AND NOW THIS!
I was approved for asylum in 99, applied for i485 in 2000, and now after pending investigation for 11 yrs i get this notice, A terrorist! I work in an airport! with all do respect WHAT IS GOING ON!? As you are aware we are investigated prior to becoming an asylee.
my family and i have been here for 21 yrs and never left the country.pls address the issues of pending files .. especially after 11 yrs, pls help us!
Depressed, frustrated, and i pray for someone to step in and help.
I hate terrorist more than you do . I never involved in any kind of activities. why USCIS put me into this catagory and delaying my case. I am so upset and depressing on current law . Please allow us live freely without worries since we were discriminated and most oppressed people in the world . please resolve this problem .
Been an asylum for 7 years. I-485 on hold for 6 years. Please congress, fix this problem. Given one protection just to turn around and make them inadmissible is a slap in the face. We were cleared by FBI before asylum was granted, so what makes us inadmissible now. Please, please please, look into this provision of the law and make the necessary changes.
Why would those people that came to seek protection in the U.S. be labeled and viewed as a threat? I’m one of them! Today I feel embarrassed to tell my kids that their daddy can not go to Canada to visit their relatives because he is labeled as a terrorist and his status is put on hold.
I personally believe that this is so against the American values. Please make changes. This is just like being held as guilty without a trial.
hello,
Please fix this bill. It is unfair to asylees and refugees to be labeled as terrorist suspect when they are seeking protection. I am hopeful respected congressmen and congresswomen will pass this bill and set us free from darkness and let the family reunite
Please Approve these cases! I have been waiting for ever. Never been a terrorist, and will never be. What have we done? don't we even deserve the right to know why we are being held? Even if you all wouldn't approve the cases isn't it fair that we at least know why we are categorized herein? Please I love America after these 4 years, and I like to happily stay here thanks!
Please Fix the Material Support Bar - 212(a)(3)(B). It is unfair to asylees and refugees from Sudan to be labeled as terrorist suspect when they are seeking protection. I am hopeful respected congressmen and congresswomen will pass this bill and set us free from darkness and let the family reunite
In response to a recent inquiry about the processing of my I-485 form, I received a letter from USCIS that my case has been put on hold under section 212 (a) (3) (B) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), a copy of the response is attached herewith for reference. This is very devastating to know and I am terribly shocked. To give you some background – I am an Indian national, entered United States in the year 1999 on F-1 visa to pursue Graduate studies. Upon completion of my education I received a job offer and started working on H1-B visa. Over the period I got married, started family and in the year 2007 my company filed I-485 application under EB2 category. I have been legally living in United States for more than 10 years, working hard to meet the ends, never supported any radical groups nor engaged in any terrorist-related activities. All the entry and exit from USA have been done with valid visa/travel documents. My wife is a physician doing her fellowship in infectious disease. It’s a curse to put my application on hold under such category. I don't know what to do.
I've been waiting for 11 years to get my GC.
Please fix this problem once and for all.
It has been blocking me from doing so many things...even getting married. I came here in my late twenties and I'm in my 40s. I also cry for my vainly lost youth.
USCIS seems to be using this reason as a bogus reason to delay valid applications. I received this letter from Ombudsman's office and i have no idea why.
The waiting is insane; it has been 4 years now since I applied for the permanent resident card. We are tax payers, I think we deserve better than that.
As an immigration attorney and advocate I have seen this sweeping law become an impossible obstacle to overcome for people who have fled from terrorists to whom they may have given support under duress. This is a key element which the law does not address and which needs to be given due recognition.
I believe that the present administration inherited this problem of inadmissibility due to terrorist grounds. However, the committment to right the wrong has been very slow. It is every nation's right to protect itself from possible terrorists. There is need to show that the administration is interested in justice rather than classifying every one as a terrorist. Show that, justice, moral and family values are higher here. Those affected are human too, and separation from their loved ones is also paiful. Some live here in misery due to this.
How come some one can have is GC being on holds for 7 years because at age of 13& 14 she helped to raise funds and distributed encouraging letters to attend events. The entire fund went to develop a village.
It's been close to 3 years that I have to work abroad even with wife granted asylum but my I-730 is still pending. Now, with my two daughters (3 and 5 years oldd) in hands, I lost my job abroad and I can't work in US as case pending. I can't work in native country as my wife and daughters can't come with me.
Only one letter received saying that 212(a)(3)(B) is blocking me !!! How can it block me as it' my wife who applied and was granted asylum. I'm the husband ??? And nobody can't provide information or ways to express yourself or defends myself.
As a victim of terrorism I was in disbelief to learn that processing of my pending I 485 was put on hold pursuant to the terrorist- related grounds of inadmissibility under section 212(a)(2)(b) 0f INA.
Please Fix the Material Support Bar - 212(a)(3)(B)
