I can't believe the high faluting attitude of Congress who want to take our right to choose health care away from us, but won't restrict themselves in the same vein. Not only that, but they say they will pay for it by cutting Medicare which is already in dire straits.
I am only hoping that the people you are supposed to be representing vote eveyone of you out of office this coming election. Every incumbent should be voted out of office and their salary for life should be cut off. They should have to work for what they get and pay Social Security tax to get anything. The congress and senate were not set up (by the constitution) for anyone to make a career in politics. So I hope all of you that read this get the message.
It's time this country did away with the "class" system we currently live under but don't officially recognize. I am not a radical, I am one of the millions of citizens in this country who are fed up with legislators who get into office and not only forget their campaign promises, they forget that they are there to represent the people in their district.
Maybe we could straighten things out in this country if we all had to play by the same rules, especially the ones WE pay to make sure equality exists for everyone.
Our representatives in Washington have forgotten that they are there to represent those of us "back home"; they are there as public servants (not the 'idle rich' living off the fat salary we taxpayers are forced to pay them, of which they themselves set their salaries). They are duty bound to uphold the law, not to find ways for themselves to avoid it.
