alyssa was an amazing person who changed lots of peoples lives I don't yet understand the reason why she was takin from us but I do agree that something must be I miss her tons still to this day! so please everyone help us get this passed ! sincerly, a loving and forever morning friend Arthur clowers
I don't see how a parent couldn't have noticed a missing van from their driveway or the garage. I mean that is kind of a big object not to notice that it was missing! I wouldn't of even of let her go and get her DL until she was out of the house because I wouldn't want something like this to happen again.
she drove illegally and she is a citizen a human bean. she needs to be punished. Just cause she has a "permit" doesn't mean she can drive anywhere. a permit is used to and from school ONLY. the tire would have never blew if she wasn;t driving illegally. My prayers go out to the young girl who lost her life.
I think something need to be done..She more unless got a slap on the finger told her it okay to drive with no DL Now have one but still driving ...Ya she punished enough she killed one of her friends gotta live with that the rest of her life .But you mean to tell me the mother didn't relize her car was gone..Come on..I have kids i know when mine missing..Open your eyes people these kids now days get away with Murder..If that was an Adult Driving we been in Jail or on our way to court for manslater...That what i think
It's not right that she got away with just a fine and was able to get her license soon after. They need to rethink their decisions on how to regulate these issues...

My thoughts are with Alyssa's family and friends.

It’s time our public officials start protecting our children. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain of losing a child at such a young age. My heart goes out to Alyssa family.
Marie, I am very sorry for your loss. There does need to be tougher laws for teenagers behind the wheel of a car. They do not understand how dangerous it can be and how important it is to drive safely....not be texting, on the phone, messing around, etc.
I am sorry for the loss but I have also been run off the road by teenagers with them being on cell phones so I would like to see this passed. I did not know Alyssa but I am deeply saddened by your loss
Having a license is exactly that, a privilege. There are so many circumstances and driving conditions that these young people have not encountered, and with the distractions of cell phones, the radio, sneaking friends into the vehicle and all of the gadgets our kids have today,it's just asking for trouble.
A motor vehicle is a machine and in some cases, a deadly weapon. I do believe our laws have to change.

so quickly is wrong. Had she been 16 and one day she would have had to wait to get a license.
