Homework is making life at home not fun for many kids. Teachers are just giving way to much if i get two million people to sighn please ban homework!

WOW, I just moved from IA...a very well educated state, to COLORADO. The homework here is CRAZY!! Kids are not able to play after school here from all the school work. My first grade student has more then my 3rd grade student!! PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS!! One front and back sheet per night is enough for a 1st grade child for goodness sake.

Homework adds tons of stress to a students daily life. High school students must balance school, jobs, relationships, and friends all at the same time. Homework just adds more to remember after school. Go ahead and make daily school harder, but if you take away homework, students will be far better off. Besides, what good does homework do anyway? Doesn't help us study, because we just want to get it done so that we can do other activities. Homework just seems like a chore to all of my friends and myself. Ask one (1) million students, any age group, if they like homework. Your results would probably be 95% don't like it. Only a meager 5% of the United States student population actually enjoys homework.
