Assyrian Homeland

We the undersigned, respectfully request that the Assyrians' be given their own region in northern Iraq, their indigenous homeland. This "Assyrian region" should be created according to the federal system in the Iraqi constitution, equally with other groups, annexed directly to the central government. The Assyrians have been persecuted for centuries, and one of the results of the latest war in Iraq is that there are currently over five hundred thousand Assyrian refugees. Furthermore, The Assyrians' have been stripped of their human rights, and as a nation that prides itself on accomplishing "justice for all", we need to take swift action. It would be sad to see a nation that has been in existence in its motherland for thousands of years to become completely depleted from the area. Please look into addressing this crisis before it is too late. Thank you.

As a proud American Assyrian, I beg congress to address the rights of the Assyrian people.
For centuries our people have been persecuted and denied their rights and freedom. Unlike so many other ethnic groups, you do not hear the cries and complaints of our people. The genocide that has been brought upon our people is like no other. The Assyrian culture is rich with knowledge that has been given to the world. I beg of you, and call upon you, to request that the Assyrians be given their own region in northern Irag, according to the federal system in the Iraqi constitution. So many American soldiers died, so many familes are without their love ones because they fought in our wars. Don't let their deaths be in vain. Give peace to ALL people of Irag. Demand peace, constitutional rights and freedom to the Assyrian people. God Bless you for your help.

The Assyrian Genocide has continued longer than any known genocide in History. it is our turn now to have peace, liberty, and justice in the name of GOD.
