People run away from repressive regimes in Africa to go through this in USA? The US government should take appropriate steps to ensure that this doesn't tarnish their image. Release this guy on humanitarian grounds and pay restitution to his family for what they have spent to fight this case.

This basically is a request to tell Congress to make our government obey the law! If someone did this to a dog they would go to jail, but we are doing it to human beings? This is a national disgrace!!!!

If our justification for this injustice is our lack of funds to provide for an abundance of people, than why not put more effort into helping other countries and providing them with safe and healthy living situations! As far as I can see America is selfish; and only succumbs when she is forced to. I honestly believe that if it were for our government, we would still be living in the Nazi era.

After an exhausting 6 months at Etowah County Jail awaiting decision from BIA and eventually release, Peter is been removed to Atlanta detention center where ICE expect to secure his removal, thus destroying his life as well as his two little kids. We beg you all to put the family in your prayer.
Immigration reform must be passed in 2010, and this man and his family must be given humane treatment. I am sincerely sorry that this has happened. We, a country which promotes family values, must make this right by him and his family.
Fairness is supposed to be fundamental to the rule of law. It's imperative thta immigration courts be more transparent, that immigrants have legal representiation and that the proceedings be more transparent. It's overdue to make immigration court proceedings more fair and humane.
