I have never heard so much baloney as long as I can remember! The core of this is our constitutioal rights which seems to be in jeopardy every time this congress tries to push a bill through without ever getting to read it in its entirety! I,for one,contest this bill and its entirety! I believe in God,our country, and the American way of life!
The American people didn't want this when it was being debated. Yet Congress rammed this down the throats of the American people. Now it is time to do what the people (voter) want, and repeal this bill. The more we find out about it the less we like it.
You cannot have obama care that doesn't bankrupt American , unless and until you get EVERYONE to pay. The illegal immigrants are reaping the rewards of medicaid, wic, afdc and everything hard working Americans have no choice other than to pay for. The welfare system should be overhauled and limits put on how many are payed for and how long. If everyone in the White House had to pay for these illegals and subjected to the crimes they commit then there would be much quicker action to do the right thing. Once the middle class is gone there will only be a third world country. Mr. Obama, are you trying to create a third world country before your term is over?
Our Constitution and the Bill of Rights have served us well in the past and will continue to do so into the future. A 2nd Bill of Rights is NOT wanted or needed. Repeal this unconstitutional bill known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
The politicians that signed this bill should be put in jail for failure to honor their oath of office in defending and protecting the Constitution of the United States.
The health care mandate will charge me more than I am paying and will force me into bankruptcy. To reduce health care costs, LIMIT what pharmaceutical companies, doctors and hospitals can charge, they ALL make obscene profits.
I am a single mother with 2 jobs. I get no medical support from my sons father and I seem to be able to keep health coverage on my child and myself. And if needed I would flip burgers to make sure my family has what they need to be safe and healthy. I'm sorry but I do not feel bad for those who can't afford healthcare. There is no such thing. Where there is a will there is a way. And for those who don't have health insurance by choice - Its their choice. This is America.

Instead of this monster bill place $36million in an interest bearing account never to be touched by house or congress, and buy insurance (Free Market Capitlaistic)for these people. We DO NOT WANT the government forcing us to pay for healthcare that we don't desire. I wish to choose for myself the company and coverage I feel is in my best interests. Open up the laws to allow companies ot compete across state lines to insure the free market can work like it is supposed to. Competition will dictate lower premiums and better coverage. If the government wants to help then allow us a tax credit to be used for the purchase of healthcare that we choose to purchase.
Just another example of Democratic Pork Barrel politics at it's best. Buying the votes of Vermont, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Montana & Louisiana with extra dollars for their medicaid coverage, etc. Healthcare needs some reform, but this is not the way. Get rid of the fraud and overcharges in the current system and make it more affordable.
The taxes, fees, etc start being collected as early as 2010; the first benefits do not begin until 2014 (roughly)
The true cost of this over 10 years is closer to 2.3 trillion, not 871 billion (as though the latter is a pittance)
It doesn't include the 210 billion give backs to physicians scheduled in Medicare cuts- that's hidden in a separate appropriations bill
It DOES include 480 billion in Medicare cuts to hospitals, labs, physical therapy, home health and other providers
It adds (approx) 31 million new enrollees to some plan- either Medicare, Medicaid, or subsidized insurance- in the face of an already-significant doc shortage- without any plans to increase Medical School enrollment or training for primary care docs
In the face of already facing likely insolvency (as is) in 8 years, it increases Medicare taxes on their definition of wealthy- but makes no plans as to how to cover the additional NEW 77 million Medicare-eligible Boomers coming online in the next 10 years
It taps you and I to pay for state shares of Medicaid or Public Health costs for Vermont, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Montana and Louisiana- in terms varying from one year to FOREVER- in return for the votes necessary to get to 60 to move this forward.
It awards 100 million to build a hospital in Chris Dodd's state.
It makes no meaningful effort to modify medical malpractice, offering "trial programs" to test
It gutted the fees originally placed to buttress staffing in order to reduce Medicare and Medicaid fraud
It mandates that everyone have health insurance, with no public plan benefitting insurance companies (and allows them to keep their antitrust exemption)- in return for a 150 billion guarantee of funding and the support of the insurance industry
It kills the ability to import med from Canada, etc, which would reduce health care costs substantially- as part of a deal with Pharma
Obama and our democratic congress is forcing socialized medical care for the the USA. It does not and will not work and will end up costing all of us more taxes and less than adequate health care. We have to stop them NOW!
