Repeal The Patient Protection and Affordable Healthcare Act known as Obamacare

The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America states that we have a right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

There is no mention in the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights, of the right to government provided healthcare, health services, or health insurance.

Furthermore, the enumerated powers are a list of specific government responsibilities found in Article 1 Section 8 of the United States Constitution, which gives our government the authority granted by the people and our Constitution.

In addition, Congress may only exercise those powers that are granted to it by the Constitution and limited by the Bill of Rights; and

Furthermore, all other powers are vested to the people and to the state governments to provide for and govern those powers not granted to Congress by the Constitution of the United States of America.

In fact, the “Necessary and Proper Clause” limits the authority of Congress to the areas related to one of the powers, (foregoing powers), listed in Article 1 section 8; and

Whereas, there is no provision in the Constitution that grants Congress the power to force citizens to purchase healthcare services, or control health care, or govern the administration of health care services, or provide health care services in general; and

Whereas, the Tenth Amendment of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights that was ratified on December 15, 1791 states:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Whereas, Congress can not apply one of the powers granted by the Constitution, and Congress can not establish a specific Constitutional authority to provide health care, health services, or health insurance, or mandate the purchasing of healthcare services; and

Whereas, the Constitution does not grant Congress the authority to control or govern anything that is not mentioned in the enumerated powers; and

Whereas, the Constitution does not grant Congress the power to ration health care services or pass legislation aimed at controlling or governing healthcare, or healthcare insurance; and

Whereas, we the people of the United States of America believe that our Constitution is the law of the land; and

Whereas, Congress's power is limited to the enumerated powers listed in the Constitution under Article 1 section 8.

Therefore, be it resolved that, we the People endorse the following constitutional principles:

1. The United States executive government, including Congress, does not have the power or authority, under the Constitution of the United States of America, to pass legislation designed to provide health care services, control health care services, or compete with health care providers or insurance carriers as such legislation exceeds the powers granted by our constitution under Article 1 section 8.

2. The Constitution does not grant Congress the power to pass legislation designed to create boards, governors, czars, or administrators who have the power to dictate who will or will not receive health care services.

3. Any legislation that gives the federal government control over health care services, mandates penalties and fines for citizens and businesses who do not want healthcare, or competes with health insurance providers violates the U. S. Constitution, as such legislation exceeds the authority of the federal government which is granted by Article 1 section 8 of the Constitution of the United States of America.

THEREFORE, We the People petition congress to honor our Constitution and their pledge to uphold and defend our Constitution by moving immediately to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare.

I have never heard so much baloney as long as I can remember! The core of this is our constitutioal rights which seems to be in jeopardy every time this congress tries to push a bill through without ever getting to read it in its entirety! I,for one, contest this bill and its entirety! I believe in God,our country, and the American way of life!
cram it down our throats did you. i wish pilosi and all her cronnies bad health!!!!!!
The American people didn't want this when it was being debated. Yet Congress rammed this down the throats of the American people. Now it is time to do what the people (voter) want, and repeal this bill. The more we find out about it the less we like it.
You cannot have obama care that doesn't bankrupt American , unless and until you get EVERYONE to pay. The illegal immigrants are reaping the rewards of medicaid, wic, afdc and everything hard working Americans have no choice other than to pay for. The welfare system should be overhauled and limits put on how many are payed for and how long. If everyone in the White House had to pay for these illegals and subjected to the crimes they commit then there would be much quicker action to do the right thing. Once the middle class is gone there will only be a third world country. Mr. Obama, are you trying to create a third world country before your term is over?
Our Constitution and the Bill of Rights have served us well in the past and will continue to do so into the future. A 2nd Bill of Rights is NOT wanted or needed. Repeal this unconstitutional bill known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
Clear out of the White House! And take Reid, Boxer Pelosi Snowe McCain and Fisenstein with you!
Margaret Thatcher once said, socialism is when you are spending other peoples money.
