Lead by example!
HEY OBAMA, IF THIS IS SUCH A GOOD PLAN-SET THE EXAMPLE AND BE THE FIRST TO JUMP ON BOARD!AND KENNEDY-WE ALL KNOW WHY YOU DON'T WANT THIS.
"What is good for the goose should be good enough for the gander!!" They should have the same health care as the rest of us!
Every America should be treated equally.
It's time you became citizens like the rest of us.
Since I have been laid off and can't afford healthcare, you should try dealing with that
Elected officials should be subject to the same government run health care they want to impose on their constituents.
It's only right, and if they have a problem with it, then they can eliminate health care for ALL government employees.
If you think it is good for the County then it should be good for everyone including governmental employees. Why should they be exempt?
Our healthcare needs reform, but needs to b equal for lawmakers, politicians, and everyone!
Maybe the people that we elected to government would perform a whole lot better if they had to live like regular people!
I hope that the older population , people that worked hard all their lives ,paid taxes and fougt for a better future for everyone will not suffer as a consequence of new health programs.
We don't need no stinking government run health care program if you don't!
If you pass it, you must also use it!!!!
What a great idea and wayyyy overdue!!!
TAKE the plan you prescribe for us or we will vote you out!!!!
You want reform without reading it...you can use it too!
It is time that you elected officials have the same health care that you want all of us to have, why do you think you are above the rest of us tax payers. You make all the decisions and we are supposed to live according to them. you have created all the problems and want to blame them on someone else.
You believe in it, you pass it, you use it too!
It is my opinion that Citizens of the USA should all have a good and effective health care plan just like Chris Dodd describes in his recent ADVERTISEMENT. All of Congress (who are Citizens) and the Citizens shall share the same plan.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Members of Congress are not better than the citizens they represent. They are not a privileged class. Therefore they do not deserve preferential benefits.
Take the illegal immigrants and drug users off our health care systems and we will have plenty for those who are legal.
Every American should be treated equal - elected officials should not be treated "special" - they represent the people not rule the people.
VOTE NO
Health care reform is way, way overdue. If it was a priority in the Truman administration, don't you think it's time we got this done? We need to catch up with the rest of the civilized world. Health care that is solely attached to employment is no longer feasible. And as for concern that health care shouldn't be run by the government, 2/3 of health care IS run by government. And run fairly efficiently. Get on with it!
As a nurse I have seen a lot of waste due to
medical professional not communicating.
Elected officials are elected BY the People to Serve the People not to be Above the People - they should be subject to the same healthcare and retirement benefits as the people they represent.
We cannot afford the cost of or the decrease in the quality and availability of health care that will result from the this liberal proposal! Reform we can afford and that doesn't reduce the quality of care or place life/death decisions with a government bureaucrat is needed.

A truly National Health Plan for all of our
country's "CITIZENS" should include the participation of every segment of our population: the govenmental, business, and private sector of the United States payng their "fair share" for the benefit of all. It is only this form of total healthcare involvement(hospitalization, long term care, doctors'fees, drugs, eyecare, dentalcare, etc.) supported by all segments of our
population that will satisfy our country's need to insure and maintain the best level of healthcare the United States can provide for every citizen.
And it should be a single payer plan!
In order to reduce the expense of health care for all, I believe that all our Government Employees, including our elected officials, should be covered in the same manner. If what is being provided for our elected representatives is better than what is to be given to the public, then their benefits should be brouht in line with whatever is included in the final plan.
liberty...justice....healthcare...FOR ALL
Some time ago many citizens were made aware of the fact that the health care benefits of our elected representatives is far superior to the benefits of the general public. Why should the general public, who pay the salaries of the elected representatives, nopt be entitled to the great health care benefits of the elected population? I do not understand how this can be considered fair. We deserve the same if not better health care protection. People should be able to maintain the right to choice of physicians, as well as the location of their medical care.
Want to save some money on health care? How about some real tort reform and putting some caps on trial attorneys outrageous compension for frivolous lawsiuts!
