let no man put a sunder....This is a important part of a marriage or a relationship, especially. This intimacy is necessary to support one another through the time apart. Also, Very important to keep a marriage together through bad times.
I married my husband in April 2010, almost a year ago. We have about another year to go. I feel that if you marry a man in prison then you should have some time to make the union somewhat normal if there is such a thing. Or at least to make it legal. Every marriage is supposed to have the "wedding night". We are paying enough for our loved ones being away from us.

Speaking for myself and many other women who are married to an individual who is incarated, having an Extended Family Visit would not only help keep strong family relations between husbands and wives, but would be a huge incentative for inimates to avoid negative behaviors. Inimates have lost their freedom due to choice or cirrumstance so I ask what is gained by dening the inimates' spouse the need of their husband.
I think the correctional system would see a significant decrease in negative, volient or otherwise inappropriate behaviors if inmates knew they would have the opportunity to be united with their spouse.
This is a great idea for those who are married and incarcerated loved one has been on good behavior. It not only keeps the sexual tension of an offender lower but it improves and continues the special bond between a husband and wife.
Hello I think that all prisons should have Extended Family Visits. I am a wife and my husband is in Kansas Doc Prison and I know that it would make the time much better for the both of us. It would ease his mind and let me relieve some stress by having these visits. One of a mans biggest worries when they are in prison is will their wife be there when they come home because of the time apart. I stay lonely and wish I could have congical visits with my husband.
Studies have shown that the agitatation that prisoners develop are related to hormones and the fact that they don't have an outlet of release. Married couples should have the right to congical visits. This will help the prison systems and pent up frustrations. I was watching a documentary about Europe prison systems and they allow these visits even when both parties were incarcerated. The administration were boasting how the crimes, offensives, were down in there systems because of these visits.... So my question is why can't Americans have the same right. I want Texas to be included in this petition as well
This would definately reduce the aggitation and aggressive behaviors of many inmates. It is known, that medically, men need to be able to release themselves and since masturbation in prison is prohibited, they need a healthy outlet. It would reduce the prostrate problems male offenders have.
I believe it would reduce the number of prison rapes and same-sex relations that begin as a result of being incarcerated too long.
I am in favor of Congical Visits with married couples in all states. My husband is incarcerated in the state of Alabama. What do I need to get a Bill passed for that State
I agree with the petition, however I would like congical visits in all states not just Missouri, or my home state Virginia. It would make a much happier prision system, as well as a stronger bond with a husband with a wife wanting to continue there relationship and support even after a loved one is incarcerated.
congical visits
