This is a program for Americans who do not qualify for SS Disability. To come to our country & not become a citizen & then go on SSI without ever having worked is just wrong!
If we are going to allow individuals who contribute nothing to the economic machine of this countries Social Care systems, why on earth would we give them funds from one of those programs? This seems like a debilitating move on Senates part. In a time of recession do we want our countries money to be given to people who have paid nothing in and will be sending a liberal amount to other countries in which they still claim affiliation? If they are approved then they should receive the same benefits any citizen would. After the individual obtains CITIZENSHIP.
Anybody who is in this country illegally should not have any access to any social benefits (SSI, Welfare, WIC, Tuition assistance, etc.) other than basic medical care in an emergency.
It's like going to a Bank and withdrawing money that you never deposited into an account. If i can't pull out what i don't put in, why should an illegal of all people. I defend this country with all my heart and soul. Our founding father's are turning in their graves just knowing this is being considered. Let's start thinking with our HEADS AMERICA !!!
In addition, I feel ONLY American citizens should be able to vote, as WE are the ones who must pay for whatever 'Bill' you decide to push through.
I don't believe it's fair that the house and Senate voted themselves a 10% raise over a two year period, while freezing SSI payment amounts! I don't feel they should receive ANY kind of raise in a year they can't balance the budget, especially since their increase alone is more than an SSI recipient receives!
If American's have to work 30 years in order to receive Social Security, why should ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS be allowed SS the first rattle out of the box? After an illegal has been legalized and has worked the necessary time to qualify for Social Security, then and only then would he or she be allowed to receive it. WHY SHOULD AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT BE GIVEN A RIGHT THAT A LEGAL AMERICAN NOT RECEIVE? HOW IS THAT FAIR OR JUST???
I aggressively supported and still support you more than you realize ,but believe me when I say, "This is absurd" to even consider giving our Social Security to
" Illegal Aliens". I idea of it sickens me. I am one of "MANY" that are opposed to this. Don't let me down on this one. Our country is broken and we are not able to give anymore away.
