Please do not pass thsi bill. KILL IT! This bill if passed will destroy my small business. I have a small real estate busniess in which I rehab distressed and foreclosed properties.
How i do that should be my freedom of choice, it is not Congresses perogative to tell me that I have to replace all of the homes windows and doors with the most expensive glass, that I have to replace the furnace with a brand new high efficiency unit, and that I have to re-insualte the home, then you are gioiun to have fascist czar like regualtros coem and inspect teh home before I sell it...that my friens is nto freedom, it is a business killer, teh windows that I work with are small enough, this billl will make it impossible for me to find homes to rehab taht will make m emoney instead of losing money, which will happen if this bill passes....Also, no one will do rehab work in the "ghetto, hoods or trashy neighborhoods, th age of those homes, the amount of work they need, and the much less return on profit then if rehabbed in a decent or good area. This bill will make our inner cities rot even worse. There will be added vacant and unused homes that will not be worth the time or money any to any investor. No one can afford to lose money now
Cap & Trade if passed will ruin an already unstable economy and create chaos for this country. A very bad bill. Global warming, if it exists, is not caused by carbon dioxide which primarily encourages plant growth.

We need to get our spending under control. We do not need anymore new taxes. You were elected to control the spending. It is your obligation to do just that. For the people by the people. That is what this Cap & Trade Bill is all about just raising taxes. The American people are fed up and come November 2010 will be making changes with who we vote for.

Why can't you see we're on the verge of a radical and unconstitutional cap-and-trade energy tax that would cost thousands of dollars per household per year, cripple the production and use of carbon-based energy, and destroy our economy. All this for the purpose of reducing man-made global warming, a completely unproven theory.

Anyone who votes for this bill is way too gullible to hold public office and deserves to be voted out and barred from ever holding public office again. Make sure you do not exhale as the EPA has determined CO2 is a pollutant. Really dumb when you realize all plants require CO2 and light to make O2 for us to breath. Simplistic, yes but officials who would impede exploration or construction of required infrastructure, in the name of “green energy”, in all likelihood never learned the proverb “a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush”. In other words clean up and use our own resources until other energy sources or methods become viable. This government’s record of miserable flops and downright stupid decisions are on a historic scale! CO2 as a pollutant, Green house gases warming the earth, (the THEORY requires the ATMOSPHIRE warm first but global warming advocates admit to only the ground warming and that becomes increasingly questionable!!!) The world has been warming, glaciers melting and water rising since the last ice age, all without man’s help. Get used to it and stop destroying our future.
I respectfully request that you initiate legislation that will rein in the US EPA. We need your help to bring back science into the government bureaucracy. There is no scientific justification to regulate carbon dioxide emissions in the USA. This agency and its director Lisa Jackson is clearly out of control. I am ashamed for my profession, Chemical Engineering to learn that Ms. Jackson is a Chemical Engineer.
We need legislation by Congress to put the power back into the hands of the elected representatives of the people, not mindless bureaucrats. Do not give up your authority to these people. Bring back science into the process.
