The Secretary of the Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management's Ken Salazar is systematically destroying the wild horse species as a whole. The wild horse species has acted in part with producing healthier rangelands and proved their ecological value among other ungulates as well.

Secretary Salazar should have never been appointed to this position because of the conflict of interest that his background reflects.
His long family lineage in the cattle ranching business has obviously shown that he has no interest in the welfare of America's national heritage. His decisions are also influenced by lobbysists in the same line of business from which he came.

Ken Salazar has not taken proper precautions to assure the viability of the species and has not shown any scientific proof to support his plans to remove more than half of the species total population. Secretary Salazar recklessly approves the removal of wild horses in such quantities that they are not only detrimental to the species viability, but it is also counter productive to a thriving ecosystem. Since the mass removal of wild horses has taken place this year alone, Secretary Salazar's blind approvals for removal of wild horses has had a negative impact on rangeland ecosystem's across the board.

Secretary Salazar is not abiding by the guidelines set forth in (The Free Roaming Wild Horse and Burro Act of 1971). This direct violation of the law must be met with stern consequences. The very law that is supposed to protect these wild horses has been compromised and violated. Without an accurate census of the species there can be no justifiable management. He has repeatedly violated the Wild Horse and Burro Act in numerous occasions and is planning on continuing his systematic destruction of the species via genetic erosion.

If we continue to allow Secretary Salazar to mismanage and eliminate wild horses in the manner in which he has, the wild horses species will cease to function as a vital intricate part of America's rangelands and become extinct as a viable species.

I hereby implore the people of the United States of America to stand as one voice and implore Congress to ask for the resignation of The Department of the Interior's Secretary of The Bureau of Land Management Ken Salazar.     Salazar needs to step down,as he is no good for the American Wild horses and burro's,all he wants to do is drive them to extinction and they deserve to live and thrieve as they are a part of our History and Heritage.After all they were our mode of transportation in years past.So we need to rid ourselves of Salazar and the BLM his co-conspiriters with destroying the wild horses and burro's so the cattlemen can use the public land to graze their cattle on,like they're already doing on land taken away from the wild horses.So remove Salazar,we don't need him at all!!!

    It's atrocious that secretary Salazar and the BLM
    Have absolutely no regard for these beautiful horses who are being slaughtered for what??? The mustangs should be protected like any endangered species. It's appalling and Ken Salazar should definitely be removed ASAP!!!!!

    The wild horses were here before we were, and deserve the right to run free. There are other ways to manage herd population that are humane and which do not involve killing or penning. Secretary Salzar's conflict of interest as a cattleman should've disqualified him from this important position. Make a wrong a right, please.

    This kind of inhumane dispaly and the intolerable handling of these beautiful wild creatures is appauling and must not be tolerated.The BLM along with Ken Salazar are out of control and must be stopped. The death toll from these round ups alone speaks in volumes of the abuse that these animals are induring at these peoples indifference.This must not continue, more over all animals being held by the BLM should be immediately given to the Cloud Foundation for appropriate handling and care, with the majority if not all returned to their homes. The BLM must loose ant and all jurisdiction of any and all wild life and this organization should be investigated thoroughly and completely with no holds barred and nothing being swept under the carpet. Ameriica has had enough of the intolerable indifference displayed by the BLM. This Must Be Stopped Immediately!If something isn't done I can guarentee you that a number of Senators, Congressmen,Vice President, and President are going to find a gapping hole in the number of votes they recieve come election time.

    Pres. Bush started this whole mess so it is not a Democrat or Republican issue both parties are to blame and YOU Ken "SalaCzar" the slaugher Czar need to be kicked to the curb, even better hunted, rounded up with a helicopter, corralled, removed from your family, freeze branded and your freedom removed in the same manner as you are doing to OUR horses on OUR land.

    these horses are our heritage and our history and our nature! Nature will take care of them. You have to let nature take its course and leave these majestic beauties alone!
