Start acting like servants of the citizens as Constitution intended instead of driving them. Listen and follow their directions.

I am afraid that I will not settle for who and what we are today...we must return to our founding principles or the greatest of governing experiments called the United States of American surley will fall to it's knees under the weight of it's own greed.

Just who in the world do you think you are? You were elected and HIRED to work for us. You already get free top notch medical care, outrageous pensions, time away from job while still getting paid to try for other jobs, more things than I can name. Why should their be a law granting OUR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES additional perks? I'm really tired of this as are most Americans! Try living only on the average American's Social Security for a month...try paying your own doctor and medicine bills for a month....try living like the people you represent!!! Come down off the mountain you have made of a beautiful La-La Fairy land where you all lived happily ever after, because in real life - it's totally different. You should not receive any additional goodies!!!

How is it that the ones who make the laws are not subject to the laws? That goes against what this country was built on. Are we all not created equal????

Laws apply to all citizens and last time I looked Senators and Representatives had to be citizens in order to hold that position. No one should be exempt especially those that make the laws!

It is now time for our Senators or Representatives, and Congress to go by the laws that apply to ALL citizens of the United States. They should not be able to vote themselves a raise or get lifetime benefits unless they serve at least the equivalent as any other government employee who has to work at least 30 years and have attained the age of 55 for full retirement. I feel the people who serve on Capitol Hill do not deserve all these added benefits when not serving at least a minimum of 20 years.
