So much for Minnesota's energy credit. If you are upside down by 25,000, the lenders do not think your house is worth it. Gonna be a cold winter this year. OUR COUNTRY IS IN BIG TROUBLE FOLKS! Please quit favoring the big institutions. Think how much we could contribute to the economy if the banks would let us refinance at the going rate. This comment has been reported to the site manager. We have been trying to get a loan modification for over 6 months. Were told 5 months ago that we qualified for trial payments which we started making. We recently found out that we were supposed to get paperwork Fedex'd to us to confirm, which we didn't. Now we have to start over again, due to the uninformed and inept employees in the Home Retention Dept at B of A. We are now told it could be another 3-4 months before we will know if we are approved for the actual MHAP. In the meantime our back payments owed is getting larger and larger. If we are not approved I don't know how we will ever pay the total past due amount. Hence we could still lose our home after doing our part. This comment has been reported to the site manager. The banks got their bail-out, the auto industry got their bail-out, anyone else need help?Oh yeah, us - the taxpayers!
The people paying for all this - in my case, on unemployment, fighting to keep my home, while my taxes go up, and up, and up.
The only bail-out I got is the one sitting in my pasture...

I have also learned from Wells Fargo/ASC that the 31% is the HAMP program and after using that 31% ASC has investors guideline that state Debt to income must be 31%. Therefore after they look at the 31%HAMP, then they compute 31% on your debt. That is 62%. The lenders were determined to get the bailout money, but NOT abide by the HAMP. They have saved themselves by offering FOREBERANCE THEN REVIEW YOU FOR HAMP. It is a stall tactic. This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. After falling victim to predatory lending practices by HFC (HSBC) with no recourse in sight my home has been sold back to the bank. A law without a punishment for failure to comply is no law at all - it is nothing other than a scam and a fraud perpetrated by the government to make you "feel good" while in fact doing exactly NOTHING.This comment has been reported to the site manager. We have been on 3 different plans now from our servicer Aurora. We have been working on a modification for over a year. We just finished 4 months on the "3 month trial" for HAMP only to be told our paperwork needs another 60-90 days to be evaluated?? I am starting to think it is all just a stall tactic to get more $ out of borrowers and that they never intend to really modify anyone's loan...they are just "hamping you out of your home"....so frustrated!!This comment has been reported to the site manager. I live in St Johns county in Jacksonville Florida. I also work for Bank of America. I am afraid to speak out for fear of loosing my job. My hardship, as everyone knows, bk of america is laying off personnel and will continue to do so for the next 3 years. I already taken a salary reduction since last year. Then I had medical issues which cut my hours, temporarily, this is when I contacted the loan dept for assistance in August 2009. Since then it has been a rollocoaster for me; I was served foreclosure documents March 1, 2010 despite every attempt to reach out, working with a third party non-profit organization in the county, Bk of America told them they never received any documents to please re-submit. You know what happens next, TIME IS OF ESSENCE, the organization submitted documents again 2/6/2010. Yesterday, Saturday 3/6/2010 I received a letter from Bk of America at Simi Valley, Ca stating that they stated: "received my correspondence, they are in the process of obtaining the documentation and information necessary to address your questions and concerns, (what questions? what concerns?), we will provide a more complete response within 20 business days". no signature or name or phone #.In the meantime, I will answer the complaint to my county to stop and delay the foreclosure, because the fact is, that I know that I qualify for the assistance, bk of america is not processing or following proper procedures in a timely manner with the customer. PLEASE HELP US IN JACKSONVILLE FL SAVE OUR HOMES!.

Also, it would be nice if we could actually take part in the low rates for refinancing. However, no one will touch mortgages in my area because we are so underwater! I owe $130000, and when I bought it I had over $7,000 in equity. Now, the county appraised my house at a mere $76,000!! It's almost half of what I bought it for!! There is no help for Americans struggling to keep a job and roof over their head, but yet we can ship Haitians by the thousands over to be given free food, clothing, housing??? How about listening to Americans and taking care of our own first! This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!

Turned down twice by chase. Said I don't quality for HAMP because my housing expense must be less that 31%. I'm unemployed getting $1600 a month and the mortgage is $3000 (neg am). How does that compute? This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!

Despite the hype surrounding the "bail out" and "loan modifications" for homeowners, Chase, GMAC and others are still finding ways to avoid assisting, mainly by selling loans to private investors who do not have to participate. Its a shame, but then again, no one put into place the guidelines to help everyone, just a select few...This comment has been reported to the site manager.
