A Petition to stop the Treason to our Constitution

Chief Justice John Marshall stated in Cohens v. Virginia, 19 U.S. 264 (1821) “We have no more right to decline the exercise of jurisdiction which is given, than to usurp that which is not given. The one or the other would be treason to the constitution.” Usurpation of unconstitutional authority by Congress would also be treason to our Constitution. Whereas: All three branches of our Federal Government are spinning out of control, and Whereas: The root cause of the problem is government’s failure to abide by their limited authority bestowed by our Constitution, and Whereas: Our Constitution is the supreme law of the land and the written will and authority of We the People, and Whereas: Congress MUST stop their unconstitutional, unsustainable, spending and legislation, Therefore be it resolved that: We the citizen signors below demand that Congress pass the Enumerated Powers Act, H.R. 450, as this Act would require that: “Each Act of Congress shall contain a concise and definite statement [Article and Section] of the constitutional authority relied upon for the enactment of each portion of that Act,” and Be it further resolved that: This Act be passed immediately, and that any elected representative not supporting this Act will be considered by We the People as not taking their oath of office seriously which would render them unfit for holding office. | |
