My family lost their business due to ignorant decisions made by the manufacturers. Being a small profitable dealership with all three brands, for nearly 42 years, did nothing to help our case. Arbitration? Please, why should we have to pay for being wrongly put out of business with no justification whatsoever. What Chrysler has done is wrong, legally and ethically, but they've proven at this point that they will do anything to do get away with it and will use our tax money to do it.This comment has been reported to the site manager. It is horible to see all so many reliable Chrysler dealers shut down, because they did not carry one of the Chrysler products. Where we bought our Chrysler thee dealership went back 3 generations, employing many and helping out with local affairs. Chrysler took away their franchise, after they spent thousands upon thousands implementing what Chrysler wanted. I WILL NEVER BUY A CHRYSLER PRODUCT AGAIN. NOR WILL I BUY A GM CAR. KEEP THE GOVERNMENT OUT OF BUSINESSES.This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!

Whatever happened to American style LOYALTY? Verona Jeep here in W.PA was loyal to Jeep and now they're being treated worse than the imports. Shame on you, Chrysler! This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!

Stop closing dealerships -- we need more choices not less, we need competition, and enough consumer choice for free markets to work -- otherwise free market capitalism and free enterprise won't exist -- stop monopolization and socialism for the rich-- resume antitrust enforcement, breakup companies too big to fail and insist an end to crony capitalism and a return to free market capitalism. This comment has been reported to the site manager. As a mgr at an OLDCO dealership I ask you to please put an end to the mis justice that has played out this past year. When we were asked to do "GOD'S WORK" ( by Mr. Press) and order more inventory and support Chrysler, we did and then some more, we were told by Mr. Press that those who did so "would be remembered". Well call me STUPID because, we believed what we were told. Since then we have let 4 employees go and the remaining have suffered pay cuts so we can say we still have a job. The owner of the dealership has been great to all of us, and thank GOD we still have Lincoln Mercury to sell. This comment has been reported to the site manager. A dealership in Verona, PA was put out of business and this looks like their sign I will have to look the next time I drive past. But they were a reputable dealershp in Verona and close for many people who have purchased their cars there for years. This is unfair to the community and to the business owners. This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!

Members of Congress,This letter is to express my outrage over this so-called resolution for terminated dealers being offered by Rep. LaTourette.
This resolution is a scam and an outright slap in the face of dealers across this country. The number of dealers who will benefit from this is so small and so insignificant that it is not worth the time that it took to write or the paper it was written on.
At minimum, 95% of the effected dealers will wind up worse off after arbitration than they were before.
This dog and pony show that is being put forth by congress will do absolutely nothing for the dealers who have zero chance of getting back what was illegally taken from them. In fact, it will do more harm by costing them more money in legal fees.
Even if, a dealer were to win in arbitration, his chances of getting back anything of value is almost zero.
First off, who is going to floor plan these dealers? Chrysler and GM control the only real source of available floor planning, if they didn’t want you as a dealer before, why would they want you now? All they have to do is deny you floor plan and the show is over.
In some cases, the dealer will be forced to compete against a chosen dealer that is now down the street from him. Who do you think is going to get better treatment from the factory?
This whole thing stinks and feels like another stab in the back from my own government.
Once again, most of us were thrown under the bus by the manufacturer, the congress, the NADA, the ATAE and now by CRDR.
I want compensated for what was stolen from me. I want justice and I want it through my state’s franchise laws. The system is in already in place, why are we using a panel of “independents”?
I urge each and every member of congress to reject this planned amendment and start over again. I would rather wait and have it done correctly than to have this useless legislation be passed.
The only people who are going to benefit from this are, the manufacturers, the members of congress, and a few dealers who will get their franchises back. The rest of us will wind up with nothing.
Where is the justice for me and my family and my employees and my community?? Where is the compensation for the value of my franchise and the years of effort I put into it?? Where is the compensation for the losses I have been forced to absorb??
Kill this travesty of justice before it ruins any chance any of us has to be compensated for what was taken from us.
I started this petition in order to get justice for ALL the dealers who were terminated, not just a few who may get their franchise back.
For me it is ALL or NONE.
Use the state franchise laws that are already in place and on the books.
Anything short of that is a public relations win for the manufacturer and congress who will come out smelling like a rose while everyone else gets covered in crap.
KILL THIS AMENDMENT NOW!!!!
GO BACK AND START OVER AND GET IT CIRR

I am a terminated Chrysler dealer employing 65 people (or did employ 65 people). We appreciate your efforts to support the terminated GM and Chrysler dealers from around the nation as we have fought for reinstatement.
We need your help immediately. The House Appropriations Committee has proposed a fair, balanced, transparent arbitration process intended for all rejected, terminated and wind-down dealers. We are told that the Senate Appropriations Committee and leadership are likely considering the proposal today as Congress tries to wrap up the final appropriations bill.
The House made a reasonable alternative proposal and we urge the Senate to accept it without change. It is carefully crafted. Please contact Senators and committee members to tell them that the dealers need the House arbitration alternative. (Senators Durbin, Cochran, Collins, Inouye)
We are at a critical part in the legislative effort to have a chance at getting our dealerships back. We know that even with support from leading Members of Congress, it would not be easy to obtain passage of H.R. 2743 or S. 1304 even though they have 284 and 48 cosponsors, respectively.
At the insistence of Congressional leadership, our representatives negotiated in good faith with the companies for three months but as you know GM and Chrysler offered sham reinstatement plans again this week. Our champions in Congress reacted swiftly to develop with our assistance an alternative to the LaTourette language, which would codify the kind of arbitration process the manufacturers offered but would make it more balanced. That is what we would like the Senate to approve.
Thank you for your consideration to our request. If this legislation is passed, it will be a no-cost stimulus provision that could help preserve or restore as many as 169,000 jobs.
