Why does the FDA continue to sweep this under the rug??? Corruption! Please join the Facebook and Yahoo groups for Lupron Victims, and register at the Lupron Recovery Foundation. If you took Lupron recently, please Google "Lupron attorney" and seek justice! It IS possible to sue. Google your doctor's name and "review" and submit negative reviews anywhere you can. Please continue to put the word out on the internet, victims. Good luck and prayers to you!

I think giving my daughter these injections for precocious puberty has had a long term effect on her well being. At 15 diagnosed with bursitis in hips. Hot flashes, anxiety. I know that she not the way she should be at 16 years old.

Too many women have these same fibromayalgia symptoms. My doctor wanted me to do these treatments after surgery, and there is NO WAY I will ever try this; the risks are too great.

I had a Lupron shot in September 2007. Lupron caused hair loss, joint pain, low blood pressure, weight gain,fatigue and memory loss. All of these permanent.

In 2002, I was given the injections of Lupron Depo, due to severe endometriosis. I received the shots for six months prior to having a complete hysterectomy.
I have had the following problems:
1. 2002 Loss of eyesight (couldn't see far away and needed bifocals). Had perfect vision.
2. 2002 surgery to repair an achilles tendon and right heel which had a bone spur. Severe depression.
3. February 18, 2004, was notified by the Doctor that I have a cyst on my eardrum. Depression.
4. July 2004, surgery at Hershey Medical Center to remove a bone spur in my ear. The spur formed a cyst.
5. May 2005, lost the rest of my teeth on the top and had a partial put in. Severe Depression. taken off Effexor and put on Zoloft.
6. May 10, 2006, surgery on my knee. Baker's cyst and torn miniscus. Severe Depression.
7. August 30, 2006, surgery on cyst in leg never dissolved. Doctor said may be from my hammer toe. Removed knuckle from my toe.
8. January 29, 2007, still have baker's cyst. Lost my Job due to crying all the time and severe memory loss. Was told by Dr. Conway to see a psychiatrist.
smoking 1 pack a day.
Severe joint pain to this day

I now have Dystonia from this drug. There is no cure for it. The bone pain, muscle spasms, memory loss,is horrific. I wouldn't wish this on any one.

I had Lupron injections 10 years ago and my health has been sadly affected. Symptoms--Irritable bowel syndrome with abdominal pain and bloating, migraines, vision is rapidly declining, depression, anxiety, loss of short term memory and I had to have both breast removed.

Completed my six month lupron depot treatment in June 2007. I experienced hair loss, hot flashes,facial hair growth. I suffered a fracture inn my wrist after falling, two months after finishing treatment.
Here we are inn 2010, I still have hot flashes, labs show an increase in male hormone levels
I was diagnosed with degenerative tear in my lateral ligament in my knee with early onset arthritis. I had surgery and am now trying to heal but fear that the other
Knee will have the same problem. I know have to have more tests including a bone density scan, all this and I am onnly 34 years old.
FDA you must do something, we should not have to suffer like this, and the medication doesn't even help!!

After 1 shot for prostate cancer I have decided it truly is the drug from Hell! My doctor says I should only have hot flashes and has never had a patient to have any other problems. He does not believe my systoms are related to Lupron and that he can't find all these other systoms. What is he looking at? Help!

I have a hard time doing daily tasks... With the muscle aches, joint aches, nausea, migraines and anxiety I "all of a sudden have" after taking this Lupron Depot shot, on top of the endometriosis I already had, which the shot was for, life is barely liveable... PULL THIS DRUG FROM THE SHELVES NOW!!!

I had the Lupron 7.5mg injection on 1/29/10 as a treatment of prostate issues. As a result I began symptoms related to female menopause which included hot flashes of great severity. This caused dehydration which led to a severe ulcerated stomach that began bleeding in mid-March. On April 2nd I had a series of 10 mini strokes that put me in the hospital and they discovered my dehydration, my bleeding stomach and I also had a mild heart attack while in the hospital due to my ordeal. My ***** also shriveled to just 1" which makes it very difficult to even urinate. I now have breasts. The mini strokes effected my left side of my body and I frequently fall due to my left side giving out unexpectedly. It has severely limited my life and I now have depression and anxiety due to the results of taking this horrible drug. The severity of the effects were not explained to me and I hope that this drug is taken off the market before it ruins anyone elses life as it has mine and my wifes.

I spent 2 1/2 hours in SSA today, filing for disability. I'm only 43 years old, but since taking Lupron I feel like I lose another year of life, every 3 months or so. This stuff is truley poison to all who take it

I lost my husband on July 4th, 2010, and I strongly believe that it was the result of the lupron shots that broke down his bones to the point that they crumbled. Oncologist are using this drug recklessly and it needs to be at least regulated more or completely taken off the market.

In the year 2000, I lost my 6 figure career due to disability directly related to 6 injections of Lupron (off label) which rendered me unable to walk without a cane and/or walker. My life has been changed dramatically. I have suffered physically, mentally, financially and my family's ability to thrive has been dramatically affected by the doctor making me a guinea pig in his quest for "kick backs" from TAP pharma.
The use of this medication needs to be stopped. I cannot even begin to think about the number of women/men who have been affected adversely (and in some cases died) due to this medication's adverse effects.
It is sickening. Please help.

Lupron destroyed my life. I was given 9 ampules twice daily for 2 years 6 years ago and havent been healthy or employable since not to mention 100,000 in medical bills! Lupron was a devestating nightmare in our lives.

I was given lupron in September 2008, my life will never be normal again. I suffer from bone, joint, muscle and nerve pain. My lower back is in constant pain and my eyesight is affected as well. I was given lupron because I suffered from ovarian cyst. A year after taking lupron my last ovarary was removed and I no longer have abdomanial pain. Now I have everything else wrong with my body. My legs, feet, arms and my face twitch at times. My life will never be as I once knew it. I wouldn't recommend anyone take this medication ever.

The past ten years of my life has been littered with medical bills and used tissue. I always had horribly painful periods, but until 2000 I never knew what real pain felt like. That is when I took three months of Lupron. Since I have dealt with pain from head to toe & my memory is awful. I was a Manager for a Compliance Department for a Financial Institution including claims, auditing, fraud & forgery investigation for 13 years. I lost my job because I could no longer complete the tasks. I tried a few other similar type jobs & I could not do it. So my college education & 13 years experience were useless. I ended up in childcare & now I am cleaning houses. By the end of the day I am in so much pain I cannot do anything.
Each month I would feel more and more pain before, during, and after my period. This, very quickly, became an inconvenience. I had to miss work every month and every month I would have to miss more work than the last. The pain I felt was like someone taking my insides and stretching them until I ripped apart. I would be struck with pain and nearly fall to the ground. This exhausted me so much that I would frequently be sent home from work early, and on occasion days like these would end in the ER.
Finally, I had a laparoscopy and it was confirmed that I had severe case of endometriosis. The doctors removed the excess tissue and I was supposed to be OK for a while; of course this was not the case. I think there was a period of a few months where the pain at least leveled off, but never did it get any better or go away. I spent the next year in and out of the emergency room at least twice a month. There were times when the emergency room visits were weekly, and one time an ambulance had to come get me at home because my fiancé couldn’t even get me to the car. My quality of life was in the toilet. I was depressed and at one point I didn’t want to live anymore.
I seriously thought I was not going to get better. I finally started asking for a hysterectomy. I never wanted children, and I had come to hate my female organs for the pain I was having. My doctor said this may be the inevitable, but we should try Lupron first. Why? My doctor said that if Lupron takes away the pain, then so will a hysterectomy. If the pain did not ease up with Lupron, then having a hysterectomy would be for nothing. I understood and let them give me Lupron that day. I thought I had already been to hell and back. Boy was I wrong.

I am in my 20's and a mother. My life after taking a 6 month course of Lupron has drastically changed. I was on it for Endometriosis after trying everything else, was told no big deal.... only had the pelvic pain during and before that time. Soon after being on it I got migranes, brain fog and my WHOLE body hurts and my pelvic pain is worse. I cant even work anymore, my husband has to pick up all of my slack at home now. I am now diagnosed with also having Fibromyalgia which I didnt have before and from what I have heard of other women on Lupron now they all of a sudden have fibro too, seems odd. Something needs to be done!

I had Lupron for one month, this past March, and I had never felt so horrible in my life. I became depressed, confused, forgetful, suicidal, terrible mood swings, had hot flashes all the time, horrendous cramping, joint pain, heart palpitations, night sweats, vision problems, dizziness, and severe insomnia (I would sleep for an hour or two every three days). After about 6 weeks I started to feel like myself again, but it wasn't until 4 months after my one and only shot that I am back to my happy side-effect free self! And I only had one dose! Now its just Endometriosis pain, but it is nothing like when I was on Lupron. I did research before taking this too, and I didn't want to try it, but was told this was the only option I had; that I had no choice. No one should be taking this! It is not a treatment - they only want your money!

I had my first lupron shot 3 weeks ago and have been miserable, the first 2 weeks I had major cramping and body aches, now i'm dealing with horrible headaches, depression, hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, and weight gain. I've been searching the Internet in hopes of finding some type of body cleanse or detox that will remove this from my system so I can feel normal again.

Investigate all these drugs, especially biphosphonates that cause osteonecrosis of the jaw! No cure for that! And they are pushing it on all the mid-age women in America! The pharmaceutical companies have basically been given the legal right to kill people in order to make money for decades with drugs, pesticides and now their filthy hands in our food crops (GMO's)
No one will stop them because of the money and they don't care how many people they hurt or kill because the payoffs in the lawsuits are chump change to what they make in profit! SICK! I had the shot before endo surgery in Dec 08. I have never been the same. 2 days after the shot, I was in bed for days..felt like I had the flu..never really felt better. Nausea, joint pain, strange discomfort in the back of my neck(below the occ bone),
bouts of chest pain, blood pressure problems,
insomnia, had numerous tests ran...ER visit..now, I am having my gallbladder removed this week. If I had it to do again..I would not let them give it to me.
After they gave me the shot..they told me there was a support group. First Red flag!

I was put on this drug almost 11 years ago. I'm in my 20s now and still struggle with pain from endometriosis. My family and I were made to believe this was the only treatment option. I wish we knew the side effects I would suffer: weight gain, joint pain, depression, fibromyalgia to name a few. I hope some good can come from this, no woman should have to go through what I have.

I took Lupron nearly 10 years ago for endometriosis pain. I am only in my 20's now, but my body is riddled with the health problems and pains of a woman in her 80's. If I had known then what I know now, I never would have taken Lupron. It's too late for my body, but my hope is that other women could be spared from this hell by being fully informed.

I was given several cycles of Lupron for endometriosis. The first by an OB/Gyn who dx'd my Endo. Then, after moving to another state and switching OB/Gyn's, I was told I needed another cycle, but was given a double dose (by mistake) of Lupron. I never had headaches in my life, till then. They increased in frequency and intensity. Then one day I noticed that they never went away. Every day, every moment of the day I suffer from severe constant head pain. For 14 excruciating years because of this drug. I have severe fibromyalgia, hypo-thyroid disease, degenerative disc disease and arthritis in my spine, insomnia, depression, dizzines, severe tinnitus, the list goes on and on. My life has been taken from me and from my family. And no medication or specialist knows how to undo what this medication has done to my brain. 14 years of excruciating pain!!! 14 more?? I cannot begin to fathom it. And to all of the other women suffering because of this drug, it is an unfair and unjust fate that we are having to deal with all because of a pharmaceutical companies wish to make money and to hell with the people whose lives they ruin.

this drug turned my thyroid to rubber. I'm now a hypo-thyroid patient. My intuition told me not to use lupron after my surgery for endometriosis, but my doctor talked me into it. I was super fit and active before. Now fitness is a complete struggle. Thanks for ruining my life, Big Pharma. :'-(

When you have endometriosis, you will try anything to get rid of the pain. But the doctors don't tell you that the side effects of Lupron are 10 times worse than the pain. I never felt so helpless in my life. I had 3 shots too many. It has and still is (6 months since the last shot)affecting my memory, joints, and vision. This drug is terrible, and absolutely needs to be taken off the market.

I received treatment for endometriosis with Lupron and during that time I felt highly depressed and even suicidal. Shortly after discontinuing use of Lupron, my gallbladder had to be removed and I have learned that this is also likely due to the Lupron. The amount of unlisted side effects for women taking Lupron is disgusting. Please do the proper research on this drug so patients can be properly informed PRIOR to treatment.

I wish I had done more research on this drug. I trusted my doctor who said I could stay on this indefinetely. I never had severe side effects, but now I am worried about long term effects. I have been off the shot for 6 months.

It brings me to tears to read all the suffering other women have gone through and are going through. For years I have thought I was crazy because I am having all these problems and don't know why. Now I do! It has been ten years since my last injection but I am still suffering from the side effects today. I now have hypertension, permanent vision loss, bone spurs in both my feet,which makes it painful to walk, bone loss in my mouth, which has caused me to loose several teeth, numbness in my hands and arms, weight gain that I despite my best efforts can't loose, headaches, mood swings, hot flashes and that's just to name a few. I always thought it was the Lupron causing all these problems because aside from the endometriosis, I was healthy. Now healthy is a thing of the past and all experience is pain and more pain. Please stop this suffering and remove Lupron before it destroys more lives. There have been enough sacrifical lambs!!

I'm still battling the side effects from lupron from over 12 years ago. The biggest ones are seizures, memory loss, and joint pain. One of the wore things is the Doctor I had trusted for years said I was having anxiety attacks and nothing more and then he sudennly retired at a young age. I lost my job, my ability to work, and it looks like my home is next.

Dear Members of Congress:
Please ban this drug, please investigate the manufacturer. I was a healthy 32 year old when I was asked to take this drug(3 minutes from being wheeled into the operating room for "clean-up" of endometriosis. I was never informed about the side effects. The effects of this drug are so awful that sometimes I feel like I am dying. Since being adminsistered this drug under duress, and for a year after the last injection I have had the following problms:
Memory Loss
Rash all over my face that becomes inflammed
20 pounds weight gain (that will not come off)
Joint pain
back aches
blurred vision
hot flashes
night sweats
day sweats
heart palpatations
Inability (at times) to remember how to do simple math problems.
Chronic fatigue
headaches
stuttering
thyroid disorder
discharge from nipple
now being told I may have a brain tumor.
I was healthy with the exception of endometriosis. Now I am destroyed.

This is poision and this company is falseifying the truth.
Where is the FDA in this?
This drug is not safe Im living proof as are too many others.

Lupron has changed my life literally the moment it was injected into my body by my doctor. It is unsafe for general use and treatment of endometriosis, however, it is the first line of treatment given by doctors today. These doctors have little knowledge as to the affects, yet choose to continue treatment because it is supported by the FDA. There have not been enough studies to warrant this a safe drug. This is drug that has altered my daily life, my family, and my well being to function normally.

Had my first shot last week...since then I've had hot and cold flashes, constant headache and nausea. My doctor only told me about possible osteoporosis and menopause like symptoms. Will not be going back for another shot

Our health insurance company physician recommended that I do 2 shots of Lupron, to see if I qualified for a hysterectomy. Got the first one about 20 1/2 mths ago. Appealed the 2nd one as I was experiencing severe headaches. I still have them 24/7 & these headaches have caused a domino effect to happen to my body. It has been 14 1/2 mths since I have been able to eat solid food, can't work due to pain & the headaches, & just barely function through out the day. I researched it before taking it, but what TAP pharmaceticals has out there, make it out to seem like the best medicine in the world. Please look into this medication. More warnings need to be out there. My family is not the only that is suffering from this!

I have seen first hand the suffering my daughter has gone through and read many, many posts of the nightmares others have suffered from the side effects of this drug under its many names. It still baffles my mind how many time my daughter has tried to tell many Physicians of the side effects she has suffered with only to be blown off with a look or a snide remark. My daughter once was a very vibrant, independent young woman now only to have at best one good day a month, which she suffers for afterward. It is so scary and sad the the Physicians we trust to care for us do not even have the compassion to take us seriously when we try to express REAL problems from medications these big drug companies have pushed for monetary gains.

I had "normal" reactions to the first set of lupron I had way before it was approved by the FDA, and then had a set of zolodex, but the 2nd set of lupron I had, 10 years ago, messed me up so badly I can no longer work. (never was told that I should have only had one set, and after a hyst, almost bled to death when I've never had bleeding problems in the past)
The sad part is along with being so ill, I'm sure like others, I'm fighting to keep my disability payments, stress I don't need.
My first problem was a horrible pain in my right kidney after the first shot. After many ER visits, kidney stones were found, and more each visit. The pain was unrelenting.
Now, 10 years after that last shot, I have a list of illnesses ranging from thyroid problems, pelvic pain problems and constant urinary tract spasms, and am basically bedbound when I had a full and independent life. Now I have to rely on friends and family to live any type of life. My outings have been reduced to DR visits, many that I have to leave due to the pain, and my clothing attire to sweats because tight clothing makes my pain much worse. There are too many problems to list here, but it's as long as my arm.
The only reason I continue to live in this lupron induced hell is my family. I would have given up long ago if it wasn't for them.
Please look into lupron and TAP's continued testing on not only women and men, but our precious children. This isn't a game, it's our lives they are playing with, and TAP never seems to lose or even skip a beat. They also never seem to do reports on long term problems that those of us that have been off of it for years still have. The problems Lupron causes are many, and permanent. Not only is it devistating that we agreed to take the FDA approved drug, but that some of us were given it prior to being approved by the FDA, trusting our DRs.
My feelings on lupron is that it's not the miricle drug that TAP and some GYN's would like us to believe, but a slow death sentence. One that my cousin didn't make, but I am trying very hard to.

I had five injections and think this medication isnt worth it. I have terrible hot flashes, weight gain, memory fog, memory loss, headaches, general feeling of being tired and not feeling well, and my thyroid levels have been from one extrem to another. I think there should have been more research done on this medication and I wish I would have dont more research myself before taking it.
