    Some in higher education try to paint Chesimard as a hero and revolutionary, but she is just a common criminal who was justly sentensed and should be captured to finish paying her debt to society.

    Chesimard was found guilty of the cold blooded murder of TPR Foerster for which she was sentenced to life in prison. She escaped from prison with help from her gang members.
    Thereafter she turned up in Cuba where she was granted political asylum by Castro. To even consider normalization of relations with Cuba while their government shelters her goes against everything this country stands for. Until Chesimard is turned over to State of New Jersey authorities normalization should not be considered.

    This case is true and simple. It should be dismissed from discussions of race because the bottom line is this woman KILLED another human being in cold blood. She deserves to finish out her true sentence and added time for escape.
    She, as all others do, had a right to her political opinions but murder is never the solution to an end. She deserves to be brought back to her Jersey Prison.

    I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Trooper Forester Christmas Day before his death, when my now deceased State Trooper brother brought him to my family home. It is a disgrace that Joanne Chesimard has been walking free for years.

     Trooper Werner Foerster was my bunk mate in the NJSP, he was a great family man and a dedicated Trooper. He does not deserve what is taking place with the fugitive.

     As a member of the New Jersey State Police Family, President Obama must demand Joanne Chesimard's extradition prior to normalizing relations with Cuba. If Cuba is restore relations with the US, then they must immediately cease all actions that are against our policies and laws. We cannot compromise on this - Chesimard must be extradited prior to any discussions.
