    I was 17 yrs old and clearly remember the NY Daily News headlines regarding Tpr. Foerster being killed. In 1979, now a young trooper myself, I remember so well the day Chesimard escaped as we were preparing to begin our 3PM shift just 10 miles away. I hope to one day experience the joy of seeing Chesimard returned to a New Jersey maximum security prison.

    If any person has the capacity to kill in one place they certainly have the capacity to kill in another. Cuba, unfortunatly, has Chesimard as a killer and liability. She needs to be brouhght to justice, regardless of the venue.

    I have Cuban family IN CUBA & I am for this! It is right! I also have a family member in the Police Force & if something like this were to happen to them I would want the guilty person to get the punishment due them & have some justice! I would always side with those trying to keep us safe especially if they have fallen in the line of duty by a criminal who did not have respect for such a one in position of authority or life to end anyone's in violence on the street! Both my family member & I were born in America & fully support our fellow citizen as strive to make America better daily!

    I remember this well. It was at the time my father died. April 30, 1973. It was during his wake that this murder took place on the NJ Turnpike near East Brunswick and Milltown. She was cought and then later escaped because of some lack of security at the court house. She walked out of the building and wound up in Cuba. I think she lived a pretty good life and now it is time to pay for her crime.
