Stop Unnecessary Credit Reporting

During these difficult economic times, it is outrageous that employers, insurers, and other unnecessary recipients of private credit information are allowed this access when it has absolutely no bearing on one's ability to perform a job or drive safely.

I urge you to create a national law that would end this practice, which is hurting good and decent people who are striving to do the right thing - simply get by and get back to work! The only time personal credit should be reported is when an application for credit has been rendered. Personal credit is just that, personal.

With so many people out of work and with failing credit, this discriminatory practice can only exacerbate the unemployment problem and serve to further divide the gap between the working and upper classes.

We are all part of the solution, not just those who are fortunate enough to remain unscathed by this recession. It's time to restore sanity to the balance of power.

Why continue to beat the working people for those who have all of the power and money.
The rule, or practice essentially dooms anyone who have had any unforseen circumstances in their life, as it relates to credit.
As a contractor who has met all requirements to work in the construction industry, I feel it would be of benefit if personal credit was not factored into business profile credit. Business credit would be better if the decision to validate or extend credit lines to the business was solely based on the performance and capability of the business to deliver.
Please stop the practice of allowing potential employers to include personal credit reporting as determinants for job qualifications. Our employers have no business making personal credit issues a part of their businesses.
