That bill is scary. Thanks for bringing it to light. Oppose the TPP, too.

This bill is purely an attempt to prevent any prosecution of white-collar crime. It is already far too common for financial crimes to have no consequences to the perpetrator, even while they have massive negative consequences to others.

As that great social scientist Rodney Dangerfield said, "Steal $1000 from a convenience store and you go to jail for 10 years. Steal $100 million and you get hauled before Congress and called bad names for 10 minutes." This bill would institutionalize the status of executives and other high level managers as a protected class, even as citizens are demanding that these officials be held responsible for their actions.

White collar criminals collectively do more damage to society, yet face lighter sentences for most of their crimes, if they are sentenced at all due to their privileged status in society. It's time to end the two- tier justice system and bring justice to big-time thieves who are happy to throw away the key on petty criminals.

Our entire economy was nearly destroyed by white collar criminals, and none of the responsible parties have paid the price. The "criminal code improvement act" greatly improves the odds that they never will.

I oppose HR 4002, which swings in the direction of giving more power to corporations and those who work within its faceless walls.

We need to make it easier to prosecute white collar criminals! It shouldn't be easier for them to evade punishment for their crimes.
