Please pass this in 2010!!!! It would help turn the government around and save MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of dollars!! Starting now!!

There is no incentive for people to get off of welfare. The system makes it too easy for them to continue their lavish lifestyles of high end autos, big screen televisions and illegal drugs. How can a person on welfare afford 2 shopping carts of food designer clothes and an Escalade?? I work full time, live in an impoverished neighbor"hood" and I have to watch every dime. Something is wrong... the system is wrong.

I work with alot of people on "welfare". I have said for years they should be drug tested. At least where I work, that would cut out about 75 percent. The government might say it cost too much, but actually, they would save millions on the people that would actually have to work for a living. Some really need it, but I notice it's the people that know how to use the system that get it all.
I have also found that if alot of these people spend as much time into work as they do looking for handouts, they would have plenty of money. I sure don't want to be supporting them.

I know a family who does not work and recieves cash assistance, social security benefits, and over 600.00 in food stamps a month. the family consists of the mother, father, 9 yr old son, and 8 yr old daughter. The parents smoke weed in front of there children several times a day, neither one work obviously. The father is the one who gets ssi. These people can go out and get an eighth ounce of weed which costs 30.00 a day. Now if they can buy weed every day why do my taxes go to support people like this.
